Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham Merrimack/Nashua Area

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Fair amount of room and a full kitchen- although fewer kitchen utensils than when it was a Residence Inn. 24 hour coffee/cocoa/tea and fruit. USA Today included.
Broken sidewalks and taped off stairs, non-working key card readers on outside door, exterior door that wasn't guaranteed to open from the inside, lights that would go off in the middle of your workout(dangerous!),giant spider roomie. Unimpressive food.

I wanted to like this hotel since I've stayed at it when it was a Residence Inn, but it's gone downhill. Still a nice full kitchen and small, but reasonable gym with breakfast included. Just not well maintained with noisy climate control, chunks of missing walkway, yellow-taped off stairs, a non-functional with key card exterior door (so much fun to have to haul the luggage the long way around in the cold rain because the door closest to the room would not open & the short flight of stairs to get to the next exterior door were unusable), and iffy room key card reader were not good first impressions. The lights going off in the middle of my workout and having to stumble off the elliptical and towards the door was down right dangerous and the staff member I spoke to was not very helpful since the lights did come back on- AFTER I'd barked my shin. Add the giant spider room mate (Ok in a tent, not a 3 star hotel) and the noisy climate control that had a tendency to suck the long curtains over the vent and it wasn't a relaxing stay. Crunchy (a vast gum-scraping understatement) French toast sticks, canned peach halves and a long wait for the waffle iron (no toppings other than breakfast syrup) didn't improve matters. The facilities are there, but the execution was lacking. ...read more

The free breakfast and beverages.
The pool was closed and the room did not have all of the amenitys I would expect from a 3-star suite. No DVD/blueray player, old outdated appliances in the kitchenette and the shower only sort of worked. Seemed more like a 2.5 star then a 3-star.

Place is nice and room was perfect. It was pleasant to stay there.
Sofa bed was not comfortable and it was impossible to have 2 separate real beds...

Actually it's not what I would call an hotel since suites are located in different buildings and you have to walk to the main building to have breakfast... It was not that far so it's perfect in september when wheather is nice but not sure I'd appreciate it in December and January... There was no parking lot near the main building - they were reserved for checking in guests. The other thing is that there were 1 bed and a sofa bed which was not very comfortable - it was impossible to specify that we wanted 2 beds when I bid and on place, it was impossible to have 2 real beds... They told me that suites come with bed and sofa bed. My opinion is that it should be possible to specify this when we bid since beeing 2 persons doesn't always mean we're a couple... Thanks! ...read more

It was a large suite for the money. Good size kitchen and living areas. Although I think they might have transferred a few square feet and made the shower/toilet area a bit larger! That was the only part of the unit that was cramped.
Not really.

A truly added bonus was the included breakfast. We went to the dining area simply to get coffee, and were surprised to see a full breakfast bar laid out. Not just "continental" breakfast junkfood, but yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy, the works. I don't eat a lot of the food they had out, but I was still impressed to see such an array of food. Apparently they do dinners on week nights as well, but we stayed on a weekend so I can't comment on that. ...read more

good location because the Costal is very close to this hotel.
there are so many mirrors in the washing room.

I like it because the room is quite large.
