Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn Charlotte University Research Park

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We wanted to stay at this hotel to see how it would be for an extended stay in the future. It would be perfect. Plenty of drawer and storage space in the bath area and bed area. Kitchen was well supplied and had plenty of cabinets. Nice appliances.
The location of the property was rather hard to get in an out of because the entrance is on an incline and there is a median strip on the main street on which the hotel is located. In order to go left, you have to turn right and make a U-turn.

free breakfast!
I could hear the room above stomping on the floor until 2 a.m. Hardly got any sleep!

Won't stay there again!

Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was good as well.
Breakfast closed too soon and should remain open until 10AM for people that have had a late night on vacations. The corridors into and out of the rooms were not in good and clean shape and had questionable people hanging around. Possibly even smoking po

The neighborhood and the people that came to the hotel late at night in the vicinity were shady characters.

The location was great
The first 2 rooms I was assigned had a terrible odor. There was construction going on near the property so definitely no rest and relaxation

I was very pleased with the kitchen layout
Thought is was a little pricey for a 3 star hotel. Whereas I got a 4 star hotel that was across the street from it at a way cheaper price

The hotel is okay, but definitely not for the price

Comfortable beds; full kitchen; large bathroom; good TV with VGA and DVI ports; free parking, breakfast, dinner, internet, local gym access; Very friendly staff. Fantastic deal, especially for someone on the go with little time to stop for meals.
Can be a little tricky negotiating the driveway because of its location near the busy intersection of Tryon and W.T. Harris. Often requires a u-turn in or out. Also, the closet door and chest drawers were a little hard to slide open/shut.

This hotel is a fantastic deal for a business traveler who is more interested in keeping cost down with a very comfortable room and friendly staff. This is my favorite place to stay when I am on business in the University area of Charlotte, hands down.

Feels like home, with Very friendly staff, free Internet, comfortable bed, full kitchen, and good TV with full swivel mount so it can be viewed anywhere in the room. Also, they serve a full breakfast and dinner, making it convenient and cost-effective.
The hotel is down off the road, so you have to go up the driveway to get out. This can be tricky in snow/ice. Also, depending on where you are going, you will probably have to make a u-turn on Tryon to either get in or out. This is only a minor nuisance.
