Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Clean and nice. Staff was great.
The elevator situation is bad. Only one bank and not convenient.

There was renovations happening when we visited which caused the lobby to be inaccesible. Also half the elevators were out of service on what appeared to be an extremly busy weekend so the lineup was at times 20 people long to get in. Very rude staff

With numerous hotels with the same exact amenities you would think that Renissance would attempt to keep their hotel welcoming and enjoyable. They did not. With numerous renovations going on that did nothing but unnecessarily block large walk ways and elevators this was just a horrible stay. Until renovations are done (my guess another year) stay away. It was very quiet in the room.
Hidden and exorbitant fees for parking $30/$43 a day; blocking $100 on my credit/debit card without notice; ongoing construction; entrance to some elevators was blocked

Location was great
Construction made the lobby hard to maneuver and elevators were very inconvenient

Distance from elevator to room was ginormous. Temp construction effected elevator availability which made it worse.

The view of the inner harbor and access to the mall.
The rooms were dated and the facilities did not meet the expectations for the star level.

The hotel lobby was under construction with a lot of noise. This should have been disclosed.

Location.
Under construction, room too far from elevator and room way too hot even after adjusting the temp. Should be a 3 star hotel.
