Distance from my destination.
I was given a smoking room; I indicated non-smoking. No big deal, really but the room smelled like ashes.

Staff is friendly, room is great for the price.

The location and the price were it's best features.
If the room had been vacuumed;the sweeper was not working properly. There were two large nails on the floor in addition to the dirt. The ice machine was not working. The Air was out in the common areas. The breakfast was poor. The TV was not working.

There is much lacking in the motel. There was no phone in the room. Our cell phones didn't work in the Motel, and of course, there was no WI-FI. I walked to the desk and asked. They said as the phones quit working properly, they remove them. NOT REPLACE THEM. After we had been in the room for 30 minutes and I was in bed, they wanted to move us to another room UPSTAIRS. I asked who was going to move us. They finally decided to move a working TV from another room. We were never furnished with a guide for the TV channels. When we were driving to the motel, I called twice. Both times we were told they had a customer and would call back. They actually did return both calls in about 20 minutes. The last time I gave them the intersection we were at and asked directions from that point. We were less than three blocks away. Couldn't they have said simple instructions? Later, while at the motel without any phone, my daughter walked to the desk to ask for ice once (that's when we found out the machine is broken) and another time to exchange towels. Both times the clerk was on personal calls and she had to wait 10 and 15 minutes. The mattresses were comfortable, but the bedspreads and blankets were filthy. The beds were not made well. A leg on the small table in the room was broken off and the table was propped against the wall. I am a senior and called several days in advance to assure I could get a handicapped nonsmoking room. I was assigned room 114. The only thing handicapped about the stay was the parking. The room was as far from the door as was possible. My adult daughter and I were traveling together. more

Location and price.
First room labeled as non-smoking was saturated with cigarette smoke odor and not properly cleaned. I notified the front desk and was moved to a non-smoking room with no detectable smoke odor. Motel advertises flat screen television but has none.

Average at best. Tolerable for the rates, but if you really want a clean, smoke free room with flat screen television and are willing to pay more, I'd go across the street.

they furnished all we needed including a breakfast bar every day we were there
the pool needed some work and the water was very murkie

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The pool area needed some work and the bath room at the pool was not clean and had no toiletries in it. The water was very cloudy and the pool furniture needed some work some were broken and dirty.
