Hotel Guest Reviews of the Red Roof Inn Austin Round Rock

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

My key got us a 20% discount @ the IHOP next door. My own room was clean. The staff was pleasant & helpful.
I paid XXX.room. Other patrons paid XXX./room. XXX. difference! Refund?? TV had been left on the 'hardcore porn' channel! YUK! Housekeeping should leave it on the Cartoon Network. Areas of the carpet were dirty, eg. the elevator floor trim.

Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Near restaurant w/ discount. Easy access to major hwys.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it's close to restaurants and shopping plazas.
This building is called a "Hotel" because it has a big sign on it. It's horrible to stay here, staff not helpful at all, they don't care about the guesses, the hallways have every type of smell (not pleasent), one of the highlights is the pool but its NOT

The pool was dirty to d ground, we asked if to b clean they said they didn't know when the "third party" was coming to clean it. There was never a manager or owner to speak about out, there was a limit on Towels n Wascloths per room?? Mind that you get better drying rags in jail, I understand this hotel is rated 1 star but I was specting at least some cordiality and my room to have some fresh towels. I don't see this place getting more stars if management doesn't do their job, the only thing is holding this building open its the location. 1Star Hotel = 0Star Motel. ...read more

Fantastic location
The bed was hard, parking spaces narrow

It was not a bad experience, it did what I needed it to do

If you just need a place to crash for a couple of hours it's OK
There was no security. There is no door at the rear entry so anyone can come and go at any time. Suspect the hotel might cater to some potentially unsavory clientele. Loud rap music could be heard from some rooms at 6:00am.

Spring for another couple of bucks and upgrade to another hotel especially if you have children. Did not feel the environment was safe.

The room was small with its king-size bed, but we didn't get a hotel room to look at an open space, but to sleep and shower in. So this room worked perfectly for that.
The door to the bathroom was broke. It would not slid along its rail without falling off.

The room was great and was recently refurbished with new furniture and a king size bed. We slept really well and the bathroom and shower were clean with adequate hot water for two showers. We don't ask for a lot in hotel rooms, and this met all our requirements for a good stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was helpful...
There is nothing that could be done about my comment.... clientele... I was by myself.... no problem.... I am glad that my wife (grand kids) were not around. There was nothing threatening.... but I'm not a woman, by herself.

Security is first in everyone's mind. Again, there is nothing to do that I can think of to help this. A restaurant is close, and the staff is working with the restaurant, offering 15% off, if you give them some trade. Family....? might stop, but would not like (?) what I saw. The room's functions were fine.... great bed.... well prepared.

Great location on I-35 with quick access to Austin (15-25 minutes depending on traffic)
Bathroom door wasn't aligned properly with the wall, so it would not lock. The door would shut 99% closed, but we were unable to lock the door. Minor issue to me. Other than that, newly renovated and looked good.

Pros: location right next to I-35 highway provided quick access to Austin or Round Rock; helpful staff; newly renovated rooms; separate areas for smoking/non-smokingCons: hotel still undergoing some renovations in certain parts; no continental breakfast in the mornings

The rooms were nice and the location was perfect. Only 20 minutes from downtown Austin.
Upon arrival the front desk was unaware of my booking for 3 nights stay. Also upon arrival no hot water until the day we left. We had to switch rooms twice bc of plumbing problems. The man at front desk seemed "too friendly" in an awkward way as residence

Do not recommend this hotel. Poor management. Staffing is "too friendly" and seems to have non temporary "residents". :/ not a good hotel to feel safe or relaxed.

The staff was very helpful, and for my stay the location was perfect.
Everything was fine.

Staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean, and the location (right on 35) was perfect.
