Hotel Guest Reviews of the Red Carpet Inn Rome

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was cheaper than many hotels in the area for the weekend I was there. It was an okay bed and alright cleanliness.
The bathroom was a little dirty and had a gross ceiling. The cinderblock walls were not very attractive looking. The odd overnighters who stayed at the hotel in nearby rooms were as expected weirdos. The carpet smelled kind of gross.

On the good side there were no bed bugs, the linen appeared to be clean so if you are just looking to get some quick sleep after gambling for a while it works.
This hotel was not top of the line, the heat was not warm at all so I went to Walmarts and purchased a small heater. They have metal stairs to the rooms on the second floor and the were extremely icy. And a few dead fly's on the window seals.

Out of the way location but at the same time very accessible from highway.
Cleanliness and wireless connection could have been better.

Very clean and quiet. Also, short 5 to 15 minute drive to shopping and attractions.

The young lady at the front desk was pleasant.
Smoking room could not be aired out. Sprayed Oust air freshener, couldn't reduce the smell. Cleaned the bathroom myself. Did not appear to replace the towels or bath mat with clean ones, may have just rehung them. So old sheets too?!? Needs renovation!!!

Outside had planters with flowers. Inside had a friendly staff person. Room size is adequate. Provided a table, 2 dining chairs and a wing chair plus a television with digital cable. Free parking. Communal second floor balcony had seating. Harder to locate actual driveway from Lawrence Rd. than expected. Red Roof Inn sign is small and hung within foliage. It needs updates inside and outside. Shower / tub had awkward fixture heights. Microwave and refrigerator as with bathroom, linens, curtains, thin pillows, visibly torn box spring and furniture are all dated, making room look even more neglected. Driveway could use blacktop. Location is near highway traffic and railroad, next to a closed eatery / bar. No elevator, wheeled cart or assistance with your items for second floor, outside walk up. OK for shuteye and shower, not a room you want to relax in. Lower priced chains might have actually offered in room coffee, but might have also charged for the microwave and refrigerator. Very basic, utilitarian accommodations. ...read more
