Next time, I'll be sure to plan earlier and stay somewhere rated a little better.

I saw the one star rating but I couldn't believe it would be that bad!

Have to say in all fairness once in the room it was ok...but just ok: the flowrate in the sink was minimal to non-existent, and the showerhead barely worked. I didn't have any flies in my room, but others did to the point of asking for another room, for which they were charged an extra $10! the guy was so outraged he called the Board of Health! I've never peeled back the sheets to check for bedbugs, but I felt the need here. no evidence of same, but the fact I felt I had to do it says enough. the place is truly an embarrassment to the franchise, and I WILL NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS DUMP AGAIN!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! ...

When I was trying to check out, there was no one there to assist me. I called as instructed and was told to leave my room key on the desk.

It was musty, run down, and uncomfortable.

I was traveling at the time and booked this on my smart phone. I put in Canandaigua NY Hotels while I as in the Red Roof's parking lot in Canandaigua. Well guess what? I was then booked 30 minutes away in Phelps, NY.

not staying - refused refund.
Upon entering the parking lot, there were 7,8 tractor trailors with garbage overflowing from them. I looked through an open curtain to a room and it was poor. Lobby was filthy, windows were filthy and so was the manager who appeared behind the desk with a huge stain on his shirt!
