Welcome to the Ramada Conference Center Altoona Pa
A heated pool and hot tub, a handy fitness room and on-site dining options make the Ramada Conference Center Altoona one of the area's most popular hotels among Priceline guests.
The 216 rooms at this two-story Ramada are designed for work and play: TVs with cable channels accompany expansive desks with ergonomic chairs. Some rooms also have refrigerators and microwaves. Kids love the heated pool, while their parents might prefer watching them from the nearby hot tub. There's a fitness room with cardio and strength-training equipment and a game room with plenty of diversions. There are three restaurants and room service. The 24-hour guest laundry and the dry-cleaning service are great perks.
The Ramada is within a mile of the Logan Valley Mall, the Park Hills Golf Course and the Blair County Convention Center. It's close to I-99 so you can be on the Interstate in minutes. Penn State-Altoona and other downtown destinations are five miles north. Blue Knob State Park, 23 miles southwest, is a favorite with hikers and bikers. Altoona-Blair County Airport is 17 miles south, and John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport is 36 miles southwest.
Priceline guests say they "slept like a log" in the "nice rooms" at the Ramada, where they appreciate the "convenient" location and the "reasonable" prices in the restaurant.

Check in was straight forward. The on site bar was nice but the food offering was limited. The room was well maintained but due for a refresh. The TV was relatively small and the documentation in the room a bit worn. The shower was clean and had a more contemporary nozzle. The towel rack could be better positioned.

The hotel was under major renovations. Should just be leveled. The staff didnt care that the rooms were unacceptable, especially since we booked via Priceline. This was not a pleasant experience. Please take it off your recommended places to stay. If you normally include hotels like this in your recommendations I will not use Priceline to book another trip.

Indoor pool shares same space as rooms that surround it so everything feels damp and smells of chlorine. Threadbare rugs and rundown look inside and out.

The worst, nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I will never do business with this establishment again and anyone who asks about the Ramada in Altoona I will be more than happy to be honest. I spoke with the attendant in the morning and she stated since I was a Priceline customer there would be nothing she could or would do.

This is the third time that I have had an issue with crap rooms in the past couple of months through Priceline. If hotels are offering crap rooms to your customers to save a couple of bucks, then I don't want to use Priceline to reserve them. If this happens again I won't use your service.

Rooms are filthy. I don't think they washed the pillows. I will never stay here again and I visit Altoona for business often.

After traveling by car 8+ hours, arriving late on a Friday night, I checked in and was asked, 'Would you like the 2nd or 3rd floor', having never been at this hotel before and very tired, I said, 'it doesn't matter'. Big mistake. My room was
first one off the lobby. I quickly went to sleep and the next morning when I woke up, I opened the curtains, only to be staring into a huge restaurant, which opened at 7am. I was astounded such a room would be given to anyone. Any attempts to rest were impossible with the noise, voices and music coming from the restaurant. When I mentioned this awful room when I checked out, I was told that 'many customer actually request this room' - yeah right.
I'll never know, but in the future, I will request a
quiet room, not over the nightclub, bar, fitness room, pool and
