Hotel Guest Reviews of the Quality Inn Mayport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Old, dated, un-kept hotel. Landscaping was pitiful. Rusted toilet paper holders and light fixtures in bathroom. No shelf or soap rack in shower. Lampshade was rusted and busted.

The staff was accommodating and the breakfast was ok.
High crime area, bugs in the room, drunks arguing in the hallway late in the night, noisy a/c, carpets were nasty and the bed coverings were stained and had cigarette burns.

I can tell you that I will not return to that hotel.

Staff, bar, typical continental breakfast, and pool area if it was in season.
Hotel room was disgusting, had to wait for an unclean room, and didn't get our cot til later that night.

Let me start off by saying, THIS IS NOT A 2 STAR MOTEL. Beware if they tell you that your room is 205. Here is just a small list of things that I found wrong during my weekend stay: leftover cheeseburgers in ziplock bag in fridge, hairdryer did not work, bathroom vent did not work, trash under beds and behind furniture, the actual pillows were stained yellow, fluid and yellow stains on mattress and mattress cover, if it was metal then it had rust on it (felt like I would need a tetanus shot if I touch the toilet paper roller and lamps), needed vacuuming, cracker crumbs in night stand, and many other issues. To top it off, we had to wait a few hours for the room to be "cleaned". At least they didn't charge us for the cot that we had to ask for 3 times. I have never been this wronged by Priceline before. I have been a loyal customer for years now, but I think that is about to change. They ought to be ashamed to even have this motel listed on their site. I'm not a picky person and usually pretty easy to please, but this was by far the WORST MOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED. YOU MAY THINK YOU WANT TO STAY HERE, BUT JUST DON'T DO IT! ...read more

Nothing
A lot. Room was disgusting, people staying there were doing drugs and drinking in the public areas in full sight of the staff and not told to stop or had the police called. Maids smoking next to room, workers with their kids at front desk. HORRIBLE

It is disgusting. Not one good thing to say about it. I have used Priceline exclusively for about 6 or 7 years. I asked for my money back but was told that the hotel said no and that means that Priceline can not. This is unfortunate because Priceline featured it as a 2-star hotel and Priceline was the main reason I stayed there. They should stand behind their claims. This was not a 2 star hotel. The room had rusted out lamps, towel bars, a broken bed, a broken door that I had to fix since staff wasn't answering, and was not cleaned or very poorly cleaned before we arrived. ...read more

I did NOT enjoy the stay. I could not let my kids stay in that room. I took them to a safe place and I got out myself as soon as possible the next morning.
I did not like the room, it was not clean, it smelled bad, and hair was in the bed. It was also a smoking room, would have preferred non-smoking like i thought I requested.

This was my first time using priceline. I usually use Hotwire. I know the price and choices will ultimately fall on my failure to make a good decision, however this was the 2nd worst stay I have ever had. The worst stay had roaches so at least this place did not have roaches. But the linen was not clean. I did not have bath cloths or towels in the room. Even the TV was outdated and small. The toilet was not clean nor was the tub. I went to a friends house to bath. I was there to visit my sons who live with there mother and usually the spend the night in the HOTEL with me, however, this place as sooooo dirty that I did not feel safe with them being there. I took them back home which affected the time I was able to spend with them. This was the MOST disappointing part of the trip. Not to mention it was my middle son's birthday weekend. He was looking forward to the hotel stay with his dad. Unfortunately the room was not clean and the area was not safe enough for my son to be there. ...read more

They had the best breakfast available out of all the weekend hotels I go to in the 2 star rating.
The room had cockroaches. The shower did not work well at all. The toilet needed replacing. The grounds of the hotel were filthy with beer bottles (lots under the stairwell you walked by to get into the main lobby)and trash.

This hotel is listed as a 2 star but it is a one star and needs to be taken off your list of "quality" hotels. I stay in 2 star hotels twice a month in the Jacksonville area because I am a seminary student from out of town. This hotel was the worse one and the most I have paid for an overnight stay. I stay in express deal hotels but there were none available so I had to pick this one because it was the cheapest. The staff was very courteous and and responsive. There was no remote in my room (although I rarely watch the TV) and they brought me one which did not work. Unfortunately,I will never stay here again. ...read more
