Hotel Guest Reviews of the Prestige Inn Nelson

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Clean, nice room, comfortable bed
There was a train that went right behind the hotel at 6 am. Very loud. Hotel supplied ear plugs to help block out the noise.

Staff that were working there were friendly.
Laminate flooring was loud, could hear people in other rooms walking around. There was sand in the sheets when we went to go to bed. The door rubbed along the flooring, making it hard to open and close and get in and out of the room. No phone in our room.

Great views, great location, walking distance to downtown, grocery store, and hot tub. Front desk man was super nice. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel for the price.
Limited parking. We got blocked in the back lot one morning by a car that had parked poorly due to the snow storm. We ended up parking by the grocery store the next few days to avoid this issue.

Really an average hotel with a face lift.
Location is away from the core, very little parking, no restaurant, lounge or bar, train runs within 50' of the hotel at 1 am and then in afternoon. Balcony was so covered in spider webs, couldn't use it. Suite is only a room with a small kitchenette.

I liked the view out the window
The room we were placed in was so tiny, there was no restaurant in the hotel and we had to walk to another hotel to use the gym facilities . Very inconvenient .

A nice sized room and wonderfully comfortable bed with lots of pillows. the balcony was a plus with beautiful views do the lake and mountains. parking was available on site.
As others have said, the train goes by at 3am which definitely disturbs sleep, but not much can be done about that. There is no breakfast offered which is a definite drawback when you are travelling. Carpeting on the stairs needs an overhaul.

Train went past the hotel every morning between 1:00-3:00 blasting its whistle, and again at 6:00. For this reason, room should have been much cheaper, and would not stay again.

Clean
Not as advertised as a Prestige Hotel. Very small room, no closet. Will not ever book with Prestige hotels because I don't know which is their quality product or this make do place.

Between a highway and a train track. Prestige purchased a old hotel and put their name on it.
