Hotel Guest Reviews of the Portland Value Inn Southwest

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We didn't stay all night because there was police activity at the hotel and we didn't feel safe not knowing what was going on. We left and stayed elsewhere.

The second worst place
I have ever stayed in. The worst was the travelogue in dodge city Kansas in 1990. True; hope however this gives you a smile!

The room smelled nice.

For the price I paid I expected a lot less. However, the room had a nice smell and there was a stove, microwave, fridge, and kitchen sink.

Not staying for my second nites reservation.
Dirty, Loud, rude staff.

Reserved two rooms for four big guys. Arrived late but called ahead. hotel was sold out but kept two rooms that only had 1 bed each. we were assured we would be switched to rooms with two beds for second night. got to rooms, hair in bath tub and on sheets, fist sized hole in window screen, walls so thin you could hear talking in next room, LOUD rap music in room next door until after midnight, dog barking in next room all night. No sleep! ...read more

Nothing. It was a dump.
Everything.
Mildew. Dirty.

Steer clear. It is way below even "economy" level.

The staff were really wonderful
The pool had been out of order for 2 years

I specifically asked for hotels with pools because my son and grandson live in Portland and it was 94 degrees out. Imagine our dismay when we found out the pool had not been used in 2 years. We had already paid for 2 nights and couldn't get a refund.

we slept well, only because we brought our own linens
filthy, bad smell in room and everything in suitcase after leaving

We've used Priceline for many years and have recommended you to many friends, never had anything close to a disappointing stay. This hotel was filthy, smelly, there were undetermined stains on the shower curtain of either blood or bowel movement, cigarette holes in sheets and blankets. Fortunately we brought our own sheets and pillows. If Priceline offers accomodations like this, we won't be encouraging our friends to use Priceline. We'll think twice before using Priceline again. ...read more

It was on an easy to remember street.
Almost everything. It was not very clean, or well kept. The pool wasn't even open.

I would not stay at this hotel again. The bathroom was barely big enough to move in. The bed was uncomfortable. The carpets didn't seem very clean, and left my bare feet feeling gross when I walked on them. The kitchen area looked like the kitchen of a recently used studio apartment, rather than a hotel. This barely qualified as a "motel" and the pool wasn't even open to enjoy. ...read more

none
need to be inspected by health authorities for code violations

Unfit to spend a night here because of smell, very old appliances, dirty carpet and security issues. Saw drunk men loitering within the property.
