Hotel Guest Reviews of the Plaza Motel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff were incredibly friendly! I might just go back for the staff alone. I never felt like I wasn't welcome or cared for. They answered my questions and then some! Always greeting you when they saw you, and just wanting to take care of you.
I can tell they are working on upgrades for the place, but for now (5/27/14), there is a lot left to be desired. The TV is an older style box TV on a mount, the bathroom was on the older side, and the lights flickered like a horror film...heh...

Besides the quality of the room, the motel staff were indeed the best thing about this place. But hey, you get what you pay for, and we got a steal for 2 nights. So no complaints here. If I was paying double what they charged, I might have something to say about the place, but with the upgrades they mentioned to us when we got there, it sounded nice.

The room. Very spacious.
A bit run down. Location was a bit hard to find.

Very nice staff. There is a full size fridge, oven/gas stove, micro and a sink. Feels like your home away from home. Just bring your own utensils. In the AM you get a basket of bananas, Danish pastries, apples and coffee.

Great customer service!
Well, I mean it was run down, but for---
dollars what can one expect?

The service was amazing! The place was obviously run down, but the service made it tolerable.
The mattress was shot.

The Plaza Motel is about what you'd expect for this price level. The rooms are run down, the place isn't very attractive and the location isn't an amenity. What it lacks in charm, it more than makes up for service. The new owners are eager to please. We arrived late and when asked if they had a crib, they were genuinely disappointed to tell me no, but quickly upgraded me to a king-room so we'd have enough room for my toddler to sleep on the bed with us. The place seemed safe enough so no complaints there. I have to again call out the owners though, I got the impression that they would do just about anything to make sure I had a great experience while staying there. I honestly got better customer service there than I have at hotels costing 4 times the price. Breakfast, anybody who has had a complimentary continental breakfast at a budget hotel knows what to expect. We got a basket with a couple pieces of fruit and some of those individually packaged danishes. ...read more

The owner family tried their best to serve us.
This is the old hotel and no upgrading done except cosmetic ones.

This is an old hotel. Though owner/family tried their best, it is not a place I recommend. We were placed downstairs room and we heard everything from upstairs. No sound insulation.

Hotel rooms do not conform to American with Disabilities act.

The room that was provided had a kitchenette, however, you had to squeeze between the bed and the wall to access it (Six Inches). The whole room had incomplete repairs to floors and walls. The bathroom window had a spider living in it. The beds were uncomfortable. Continental breakfast was a basket with two rolls, bananas, apples and a coffee pack. The door locks also were hard to operate. ...read more

The location was good and far enough from the highway and it was quite to sleep.
Smelled bad and carpet and floor were filthy.

This is an older hotel that needs to be up graded and cleaned up from all the smokers that had used the area before.

Excellent staff
Poor neighborhood

The family who runs this hotel are trying their best in a difficult situation, specifically the run-down area. Some of the best service we've ever received!
