Hotel Guest Reviews of the Planters Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This is an older hotel, the real Savannah. I loved the lobby with its slightly mismatched furniture. I especially loved the complimentary wine and cheese in the evenings. On the final night of my stay, there was even a wonderful lounge pianist.

It's right across the street from famous "Old Pink Lady" restaurant. The Planters Tavern, in the basement of the "Old Pink Lady," is beautiful too. There are many many great restaurants and bars within an easy walking distance of the Planters Inn. Great location. Air conditioning in the hotel worked well - that's important here!

Location, and historic presence.
Room was not cleaned properly. Complimentary breakfast area was too small for the number of guests they were serving. Not enough food for all the guests. Noisy air conditioner. Bad valueRate for the rate they charged.

The Old-World charm of the hotel steeped in history. The easy convenience of the hotel location in downtown Savannah. The doormen and Ronald making us feel welcome.
The hotel not answering my emails twice prior to the trip - both through their website contact form and concierge email. The front desk and concierge were decent, not as helpful as I would have expected, nothing to write home about.

Location, excellent service, and cleanliness.
The fact that there was not a refrigerator in the room as a standard feature.

Location is good! Newspaper at the door in the morning. Breakfast was good, besides the old bagels and the horrible minute maid orange juice.
Bed was not comfortable. Pls upgrade the carpet. Our room faced the parking garage, which didn't let us sleep with all the car alarms going on and cars passing by. One of the elevators was not working and the wallpaper was peeling off. Check out at 11 am.

The location off the main road in historic Savannah. The staff was very welcoming The room had a historic look. The room was quiet as far as not hearing other guests doors opening and closing. I would stay if items below changed.
Curtains overpowering floral heavy texture, understand the need for historic look, lighten them.No light bulb bedside lamp, cracks in plastic lamp shades. Window on are side of the building were looking at a 5 parking garage, very loud weekend.
