Hotel Guest Reviews of the Planters InnOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Hotel was great no issues, will definitely return. Priceline however quoted me $10 higher per night than I could receive at the hotel directly. When I called Priceline to inquire why, I was told I was purchasing extra services and I could not get my money back. They said I could cancel and rebook, I did not want to chance the hotel being booked nor do I have the time. Well, the hotel includes what Priceline said I would be paying extra for. Because of this, I will always call the hotels first and spend the extra few minutes to get the best deal. I used Priceline because in the past they always saved me money. In this case they cost me more and I had to call customer service to ask for the same rate, which I did not get ...

Family Traveling with Young Children
We booked this for a Sunday night, then after re-evaluating our trip discovered we were able to leave a day earlier. We were unable to reserve a room at this rate for Saturday night or move the reservation, and therefore had to stay at another hotel. The other hotel was nicer and less expensive, but this was inconvenient. If the hotel had been more accommodating to our circumstances, it would have greatly increased my rating of our experience there and of the priceline experience. ...

The hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Booking through priceline sadly got us 2 single beds in a room which wasn't made clear to me on booking and so upon arrival I asked if I could swap to a queen , for a $20 upgrade fee I was given a more suitable room right away with no fuss. The hotel is very busy and I feel lucky there was a room available. Everything about the hotel was lovely. The quality of the rooms, the staff, the food and the little extras such as the evening social and the speed of room service was awesome. It hit its 3 1/2 star status easily and is perfectly situated. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning. ...

It was in a great location, within walking distance of touring, shopping and great restaurants. The staff were outstanding, very helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast was included and was really nice. The hotel is beautiful and really clean and well taken care of. Each night there was a complimentary wine and cheese reception in the lobby. Also, at 9:00 pm each night there were homemade complimentary cookies. We would stay here again. ...

The location is great, but also terrible. Great location for walking to everything in the historic district, but terrible location for sleeping. Bring earplugs. If you stay up really late (2am) and wake up really early (7am), being right next to a noisy public parking garage won't be a problem. I didn't see a single employee smile even once while I was there, and I think that just made the whole place feel very blah to me. The small (twin) beds were very comfortable and the room was clean but worn. Overall, there were a lot of little things wrong that made me feel like three and a half stars might be undeserved. Are a free bottle of water, daily newspaper, and complimentary wine and cheese hour all it takes to get there? Those things are definitely nice perks, but if it's nearly impossible to sleep, I just don't know. I'd stay here again, but only if I got a great rate and went on another slow weekend with earplugs in tow (I can't even imagine the amount of noise that would come out of that garage on a busy weekend). ...
