Hotel Guest Reviews of the Pioneer Resort Lodge
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 30, 2013

BAD!

The room was very large, and had a balcony that was actually usable instead of the typical insanely narrow ones you get at most places. It was quiet there, the only noise is vehicles on the road. Pressure for the shower was a bit low, as was the shower head. I'm average height and the shower head was almost at eye level. Many of the cable channels are blocked due to the insane people who run the cable up there, but if you're religious you'll be in luck since they let all those through. The bed was WAY too soft. My wife and I woke up with sore backs every day. The staff was very nice though. You might have trouble finding the place. It's literally the only hotel in Pioneer/Pine Grove, so if you see a structure that looks like a hotel, that's it. A recent wind storm had blown their signs off the pole, so there were no signs to identify it. ...

This is a fine place to sleep if you arrive late and leave early in the morning. It suited our needs with two beds, plenty of space and it was quiet.

I would recommend, if you are on a budget and don't expect anything at all luxurious. Too bad the owner raised the rent for the man who owned the restaurant. That would have been very convenient, since there is hardly anywhere to eat in town. But loved the beds and very comfy. And the room was clean.

We found the rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable. Even arriving late at night staff was welcoming and helpful in finding a breakfast place for the following morning.

The room was fine for the price, but because it was a large room and the weather had been hot, it was difficult to cool the room down to a comfortable level. The swimming pool was closed and had been closed all summer, from what I understand, which was also a mild disappointment. Otherwise it was okay. People there very friendly.

Nothing was in working condition, we had to go to the front desk for soap and towels. The A/C, the pool, the spa, the ice machine, and the TV did not work. We will think twice about ever using Price Line again!

I've stayed two times at this hotel because of convenience to my aging aunt and uncle. Staff is friendly when you can find them on duty. No staff on duty before 1pm or after 8pm. Pool is dirty and closed by the health department. No prior notice of pool being closed on first visit. Second visit notice posted on lobby front door. I will not stay at this hotel again.

We were very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed. there was no ice machine; and the remote for the tv did not work. there were cob webs in the corner as well.
