Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The location was great. Also the staff was very friendly
The bathroom had some kind of bad smell in one of the rooms. The safe was small and not functioning properly. There was no fridge inside the room either for a 4 star rated resort. Lunch and dinner hours and food choices were quite limited.

On the positive side, Hotel location was great. The private beach looked fabulous as if from a movie scene. There were skits every night for entertainment which were great. Hotel staffs were quite friendly. On the flip side the beach had too much algae and they weren't cleaning it everyday resulting in some kind of cesspool like smell. The lunch hours was quite limited and lunch was at 12:30 - 2:30 which didn't work out for us since we we would go out sightseeing. Buffet was limited if we indeed consider this a 4 star hotel and compare with other 4 star hotels. Also the free wifi was only accessible in the hotel lobby. ...read more

Wifi barely works. They wouldn't allow friends of mine who were staying at a neighboring hotel come to hang out on the beach with me.

The beach was beautiful and in a protected bay with a reef, so the water was very calm. I felt very relaxed at the hotel. The staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and had A/C.
The food was really unappealing: mayonnaise-based salads, overcooked proteins, etc.

We were there at low season and there weren't many guests. Still, the staff was really friendly and the buffet-style food was good. It's Italian operated and definitely had a European feel to the food. Staff was great.
If you want internet in your room, there's an extra fee. Public internet is available in the lobby, though.

It's a medium-sized resort (280 or so rooms)right on a very nice stretch of beach about 10 minutes from Tulum. There are lots of turtle nests here during the summer and fall, and we were able to see both adults and babies during our stay. Rooms aren't fancy, but they have A/C and TV. The staff organizes some daily activities, but we didn't take part in these as we spent most of our time walking the beach and swimming. The food was buffet style, and each meal included about 15 appetizer dishes to choose from (lots of roasted vegetables like stuffed zuchini, eggplant, tomato, salads), main courses, a grill where you could order tacos or the "filete" of the day, and desserts. The beach bar offers drinks and snacks all day. Guests were mostly European couples, but there were a couple families there with small children, and it seemed to be very family friendly. Not sure how it would be during high season though. ...read more
