Hotel Guest Reviews of the Parkway Inn & Suites - Decatur

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing at all

The hotel put newly remodeled it was moldy and it was paint chipping every where the bed was broken, the ice machine was broken, the ice bucket had dead bugs and the motel stated that it had a pool but the pool was closed... very disappointed there was not staffed 24/7 so if we needed something we had to wake people up... and it was just all round worse experience ever

Nothing this hotel was HORRIBLE!!!
I liked nothing about this hotel!

Please do not stay here..this is by far the worst place I have EVER stayed. Felt like I was in a third world country! It was nasty outside and nasty inside, the bath tub had been patched so that you wouldn't fall through! The ceiling in the bathroom was patched poorly... You had to unplug the microwave to plug in the refrigerator... The pub next door jammed out till 2 am and you could here people outside of our room all night long into the early morning hours!!! We stayed here because of the price, never again will I make a choice based on cost alone.. ...read more

The desk person was very friendly.
This hotel is not clean and is poorly maintained.

This hotel is well past its prime. The outside is run-down and littered. It is located next to a loud bar and the neighborhood is questionable, at best. It appears to cater to folks down on their luck rather than travelers.

Convenient location.
The clerk barely spoke english, the pool was drained.

You have to really like trains and road noise because they continued all night long. There was no air tight seals on windows and doors, so even conversations of passersby penetrated the walls. The door to the ice machine fell off and hit me on the head, because it was just sitting with broken hinges. The room was non-smoking, but there was either incense burned, or the smell of some other smoke device that got absorbed into the curtains and drapes. The pool was drained, and wasn't covered... it didn't look inviting. ...read more

The Continental Breakfast was nice.
The rooms were very old with musty smell and visible signs of deterioration. Rat Traps outside.

I did not use the "Name your own Price" option as I wanted to ensure that we had appropriate sleeping arrangements for our large party. I booked 2 rooms that were each supposed to have 2 Queen beds. When we arrived we were given one room with 2 double beds and one room with a King size bed. The floors were too dirty and smelly to have anyone sleep on them so we had teen age cousins of opposite gender have to share a bed. Not what we would have preferred. ...read more

This hotel is cheap but nasty. It is an old motel. One bulb burned out in room. Hair clogging up bathtub. Needed paint. Had loud band playing in their restaurant when we arrived. Many loud motorcycles coming and going out of parking lot. My daughter and friend were supposed to have a smoke free room, but people had been smoking in it. Spend some more money and get a better hotel. ...read more
