Hotel Guest Reviews of the Paradise Stream Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The privacy was very good; there were no sounds or noise from any where. I love how the rooms were sound proof and having your own entrance was awesome.
Cell phone reception was bad but I guest that his part-of a romantic get way.

I enjoy my stay tremendously; the staff was pleasant and courteous. Upon checking in they even upgraded my suite that was awesome of them. When we enter the lobby they were all dress in costumes and they had staff roaming around with little appetizers¿ for guest. This is a good place for couples to get way and rekindle there love and have some me time.

Our room was really fun! The bars and restaurants were very nice with great selections. As soon as we checked in, they were making us sandwiches. Husband=Happy!
We were only there for one night. It seems we could have enjoyed ourselves for a few more.

I never stayed in a resort atmosphere before. It was different. Only having been there one night probably worked against us being able to meet people and socialize a little more. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was as it represented in the advertisements (there are mirrors...). Pay attention to the featured entertainment and time of year to maximize your experience. ...read more

Always heard about the Poconos, and it was fun to visit an adult only resort.
18% service charge plus 7.5% room tax adds 25% to advertised price. Seems a little sleazy to hide the charge. When I paid the bill they didn't even give me an itemized receipt. In fact I had to ask how much it was.

Front desk person was extremely nice when we checked in. She gave us a free upgrade in our room. The room was nice and had a huge bathroom with a very cool heart shaped tub. We didn't really use the pool or hot tub in the public area, but it looked like nice. Dinner and breakfast were included (Alcohol was extra but not terribly expensive - $6 mixed drinks.) The food was OK at dinner a buffet, with sliced meat and salad and some sides that I didn't care for. There was also a noodle station that we did enjoy with Ramon noodles, sliced Asian veggies, broth etc. There was a night club with a band (The Brides Maids)that was surprisingly good and a pretty funny comedian (not Louis CK but similar). The crowd was fairly lame with a few older guest dancing. Overall we had fun. One night was enough for us. Checked that box and don't feel like I need to do it again. ...read more

The privacy
There were no wifi access on the premises. The online pricing was not the same as the actual cost. I was charged two separate taxes and a Dailey gratuity charge when I checked in. All charges should be explained before the trip is booked

I had a nice relaxing time

The location in the pocono's and how close it was to the casino
the staff was rude, the club closed early each night, the activities were boring, it was suppose to be all-inclusive but it only included two meals and some activities, games in gameroom did not work, needs upgrading, had to pay for lunch, and more.....

Do not go here. It is a wierd vibe and out dated. It seems like you are in a 1990's movie theme. I even got a feeling that we were at Camp Crystal Lake and being stalked by Jason. It was really wiered there.

The hotel had a fantastic location, beautiful grounds and great staff.
The champaign jaccuzzi had hair in it and the rug in the bedroom had burn holes. For a resort of this magnitude and cost, everything should be prestine and w/out blemishes.

I liked the the room having a pool in your own room is really cool.
The food could have been better. And they could have done a better job letting you know all the things that were included with your stay and organizing it.

I enjoyed all that the resort had to offer in terms of packages and activities.
You get a fireplace with your room (which you pay for) and they make you pay for logs to burn! I also didn't like that it was not explained to me my billing terms. I had to give two credit cards and was billed on both. I was not told that. The staff was

I was very unhappy with the reservation/billing process. At first the staff could not find my reservation. When I first booked the room I gave a credit card. When I checked in I had to give another card and was told they could not access the original card but was then charged a $100 booking fee on that original card by the resort. I was not told that this was going to happen. The staff could not print my invoice so I did not even get a chance to see the detailed charges. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in the Poconos. However, next time I will not use priceline.com because of the booking troubles and I will not stay at Paradise Stream. ...read more
