It's the upper keys so I try to dial back my expectations and criticisms. Pro's - big property with many buildings and great parking and access for boaters. Rooms are big and accommodate families of 4 in the 1 BR and even more in the 2 BR. Con's - this place was billed at 3 1/2 stars on here and on priceline. That's a joke. This place needs serious renovations and updating to get to that level. This place is 2 or 2 1/2 stars MAX. Our room was dated - circa 1980's/early 90's with formica counters, old nasty whirlpool tub, old appliances and furniture. The A/C outside the bedrooms make noise. The pictures on the website of the rooms are not all the rooms and were certainly not ours. The pool and hot tub are also dated. The rooms are mostly all owned and rented out - like a timeshare situation so you don't know what you get til you get there. The "lobby" is an upstairs area in the back building by the manmade beach that doubles as the restaurant and convenience store. The food is not very good. It's all a la carte and you're better off at a waffle house for breakfast so that should say enough. There is NO DAILY ROOM SERVICE. You have to clean up after yourself each day and go to the "lobby" to get more toiletries as needed (soap, etc). Overall, a great pic for boaters that want to cram into a place for a night or 2 but not for a relaxing family/couple/solo/business getaway. ...

The location of the hotel is great. The first room we were given smelled so bad we had to move. The second room was shabby at best. The cushions on couch were threadbare & sank to the floor when you sat on it. The thermostat had to be replaced..vertical blinds fell off the rods. Floors were so dirty we had to put towels on Floor to walk to bathroom. It needed a total redo to even be a three star, will not stay there gain. Got a totally screwed by Priceline ..3 1/2 stars no way !!!! ...

I would rate it 2 out of 10. As mentioned this is not a hotel don't be decieved by what they claim but refurbished old apartment units with aged furniture and smelly interior. We stayed for 2 nights and that was a challenge, no daily room cleaning so you have to clean your own room and make your own beds. Location is about 9 miles away from Islamorada out in nowhere. I would look at another hotel which is an actual hotel, we had a bad experience also with our neightbors playing loud music after 2am and the walls are so thin we couldn't even sleep. There was a broken picture frame that when we tried to move it fell in 2 pieces which shows me that the place isn't cleaned regularly otherwise they would fix the frame or take it away. If you don't care about a clean room and clean sheets and don't mind overpaying then its for you but for minimum expectation of a clean, well run, actual hotel facility, this place is one of the worst I have stayed in and I travel 6 months out of the year for business. ...

The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The suite was bright and cheerful and fully equipped. The breathtaking view amazing view all day long. the grounds and the beach area are all exceptionally well kept. The maintenance staff was quiet and professional. Many of the other staff members were loud and spent a great deal of time complaining to each other, especially the staff in the restaurant/bar area. Overall out stay was very relaxing and comfortable. I would recommend these accommodations wholeheartedly! ...

The hotel is like a home away from home very relaxing and the outside is kept very clean. The unit they gave us saying it was island view was all mangrove view,so when we requested a better view we had to pay extra for it. The staff is very friendly and our unit was pretty nice except the sofa bed needs a new mattres. I would recommend it to a friend that doesn't want to stay on the beach. ...

if you are going to stay here and bring a boat you will need proof of insurance 300,000 liability and 100,000 accidental, it was an extra 20 bucks a day just to park it. it was basically a condo, and there was no free internet, it looked nothing like the photo's,it was nothing special and I was dissapointed.
