Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence & Conference Centre - Niagara-on-the-Lake

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Location and price free coffee and snacks
Toilet did not flush properly and blinds were broken so the light in the parking lot shone into the room all night.

good value
experience at front desk not quite up to hotel hospitality standard, students in-training, deposit was unexpected and deposit calculation was incorrect - staff was able to redo on second try after I noticed error, powerful fans blew onto dining table

A decent value even considering the recent price increase and student operations. I like the concept. Price getting on high end for a quick choice amongst alternatives in this market.

Located on the NC campus convenient to the Wine Education Center, Brewery and restaurant which are destinations in themselves! Good all-you-can-eat breakfast including fresh fruit. 24-hr coffee/tea. Helpful front desk staff who know the local area.
Rooms are sparse and plain - no decoration at all, even in hallways. Poor lighting, especially in bathroom. Had to move in a standing lamp to get enough light to do makeup. Hand lotion in provided toiletries was poor quality - sticky feel.

best $ value in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area. 20 minute driving distance to Wineries, downtown and Walking/biking trails. Would stay here again.

Good location; not too far from town, just a quick drive. Beautiful setting (outside). Nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. AC worked nicely.
EXTREMELY dim lighting in both kitchenette and bathroom. Too dark to see to apply makeup or do much of anything else in those areas!

Overall good value for the area (provided we get back the $100 "security" deposit they initially charged us and SAID we would get back). Hated that the hallways and elevators were not air conditioned AT ALL; it was extremely HOT. Also, there was a girls' soccer team running down the halls and screaming late in the night who also left scraps of food on the floor near the elevators. Room - which was very "dorm like" - was average in cleanliness, while the "common" areas were marginal at best. The worst part of the room was the very dim light fixtures in both the bathroom and kitchenette, though it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The towels and washcloths were nearly see-through and very rough on the skin. However, the bedrooms were well-lit, mattresses and pillows were comfortable. ...read more

Nothing, I wasn't looking for a hostel.
No, bed
was too hard and too small, no chairs for comfort, no lighting, little things like iron, hair dryer and no pool.

This is not a hotel, it was a college dorm, to far away from the falls and has no pool, wasn't not comfortable to relax in.
