New York Central Madison Avenue Apartments

This is
not a hotel! It is also not a "suite." It is an old apartment in an old building. This is a problem because you have to pick up the keys from another location on the OTHER side of Manhattan and they charge for early and late key pick up. In addition, this apartment is not zoned/approved for short rentals, so when I picked up the key they company advised me "If anybody asks, tell them you are staying for more than a month." Finally, and perhaps most disturbingly, the locks on the apartment door are all broken. You are relying entirely on the lock on the front door of the apartment building for your security. The location was great. The apartment was fine for what it is. I might even recommend it if you are looking for an affordable weekly rental. But, it should not be listed as a hotel. ...read more

Good for leisure traveling family stay late at night.

Overall nice experience. Rooms are large for NYC and clean. It's an old building and there is room for improvement under the maintenance aspect (door locks, plumbing). One point deduction because the handover of the keys was scheduled for 2pm and the person left us waiting in the cold for 30 minutes.
