Hotel Guest Reviews of the New Orleans Marriott

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Valet service.

If you are dropping off your car with valet, you have a duty to inspect your vehicle as well as all parts including car keys. If it has a defect such as a missing screw it's all your fault. They broke my key and said they assumed no liability because there was a missing screw. Neither can be proven, but it is clear that the key was fine when handing it over to them. Now it's broken and I assumed all liability. Do not valet. Duty to inspect is on you even if they broke your stuff they will say it was defected and it's on you. ...read more

.location:and the room was okay
I didn't like the fact that they charged for the parking and I didn't even have a vehicle.

The valet parking guy was rude and very over priced. On check in there was about 8 people waiting to check in around 5:30 pm and only one person checking people in. When I called down to the valet parking to get my truck no one answered.wait 25 minutes
The staff the wait time to check in and wait time to get my truck. The excuse they used is they are understaffed. Sorry that's not a good excuse.

The valet would not answer the phone and when I called the operator to aske her to help me she said there was nothing she could do and was very rude. The on duty manager said they are understaffed and walked away. He could have offered to go get my truck or at least check on why it was taking so long at 4:45 in the morning. For a 4 star hotel the service was not at all what I expected. I have stayed in a motel 6 with better staff service. I will not stay here again unless that's my only option. I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of hotel. Have never had bad service like this. ...read more

Reun at check in was beyond helpful and explained everything to us. She made our stay there so enjoyable and helped us to make the decision to upgrade and were we ever glad we did! Thank you Reun for A+ service
When we got out of taxi the bellhop ask if we were sure we were at the right hotel ? I said "yes, 555 Canal right", to which he quickly responded "Oh, Ok. The reason I ask is because there is another Marriott across the street" ? Felt he judged me

Check in was a breeze, loved the fruit infused water in lobby. The elevators are great as they get you to your floor quickly. Loved the view from 31st floor overlooking the city, could see Lake Ponchatrain. The hotel is clean, great toiletries and rooms are great size. Did not get to enjoy restaurant as to busy trying to see everything in city. Close to Bourbon st yet far enough away so didn't get the noise. Lobby is busy but not a problem. We sat looking out the window on the 31st floor sipping champagne and eating chocolate dipped strawberries the first night there, again THANK YOU Ruen, hope the hotel knows what a gem they have in Ruen! The Marriott is in a good location, has some great staff, is a clean well run hotel. Didn't get to use the pool as was to chilly. There were kids in it though. Would recommend to couples although it bills itself as a conference hotel. ...read more

It is centrally located close to most attractions.
The room is a little small, but for the price, I have no complaint.
