Hotel Guest Reviews of the Motel 6 Gilroy

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Remodeled rooms
The rooms we booked were not what we were told

I left several messages for the manager and general manager, but never received a call.

The room was tiny - smelled awful, left the window opened all night to air the room out, didn't help. Felt like I was in a prison.

The employees were very nice and courteous!
The room smelled, the tv had poor reception, I had to renegotiate my price with them because they charged me more than what Priceline quoted. I also forgot shampoo & they did not even have any for purchase.

The size of the shower and good water pressure from the shower head.
It was very difficult to find the light switches after turning them off in the dark. It would be nice to have a switch that has a glow feature that way people would be able to find the switch(es) again in the dark, rather than stumbling over things.

A better choice than some other nearby by big chain Hotels, based on the overall appearance, and the fair pricing. I would stay here again considering their prices remain competitive. A few things that would improve the place: The tile on the floor of the elevator should be replaced with some other impact-resistant material since it is cracked and dirty; it really brings down the appearance of the place. Installing surveillance cameras in the parking area would give customers a feeling of confidence in the safety of themselves and in their vehicle being parked there overnight. ...read more

Close to fast food restaurants, convenience stores, and right near the freeway.
No microwave, fridge, or coffee maker. No shampoo and conditioner in bathroom for guests.

The beds were not comfortable at all. We could hear the guests talking in the adjoining room. One of the only advantages is that our room allowed smoking so my husband was able to open the window and smoke in our room instead of having to go downstairs.

Nothing, hotel was terrible and the smell was unbearable that I could not sleep there.
There was nothing that I liked about the hotel and I did not sleep there. It was filthy and the smell was terrible.

Do not stay here!

Outside grounds were nice
Worried about the carpet cleanliness in the room. Towels were like sandpaper.

Just good enough for one night's quick visit. NO FRILLS
