Welcome to the Moda Hotel
The non-smoking Moda Hotel blends old and new with free Wi-Fi access and local calls, stylish rooms in an historic downtown Vancouver building and a choice of dining establishments.
With a boutique hotel vibe, the four-story Moda Hotel mixes original architectural details with up-to-the-minute decor. (Even the dog beds are stylish at this pet-friendly lodging.) In the 67 non-smoking rooms and suites, much-appreciated amenities include flat-panel TVs and minibars. Wi-Fi connections are on the house, as are local calls. There are spacious desks with eye-level outlets, safes large enough to fit laptops and coffeemakers to give you the pick-me-up you need to get down to business. Just off the lobby you'll find a well-regarded Italian restaurant, a trendy wine bar and a sports bar serving pizza and other light fare. Parking is available for a fee.
In the heart of downtown Vancouver, the Moda Hotel is a block away from the shopping and dining opportunities along Robson Street. The Orpheum Theater is two blocks away, and nine blocks away is the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. To see a football game featuring the Lions, it's about one mile to BC Place Stadium. Sprawling Stanley Park is three kilometers away. Vancouver International Airport is eight miles south.

let's start with the humidity. the clothes that were zipped up in our separate suitcases within a few days in were borderline damp, and smelled like they were left in the washing machine for too long. we had to keep the air conditioning set at 64, the fan on, and the window open to make it bearable. there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which is very small. so what do you do?you keep the door open of course so the steam can escape... only the smoke alarm confused this steam with smoke, and would begin this ear piercing screeching sound. they charge you $14/day to park in a garage a block down the road. the garage only charges $10/day for non hotel customers. there are fridges in each room, but of course Its extra to have them unlocked. hair everywhere. long black hair inside the tub upon arrival, and twice when dying off with brand new towels. our overall experience? it was depressing being in the room, we spend as much time walking around as possible just so we wouldn't have to go back to our room. you're better off staying at a motel 6. ...

The Moda Hotel isn't super fancy. But it's clean, and the staff were courteous, and accomodating. There's a great restaurant various dishes. Fresh food. Also a beer and wine store, with an excellent selection of beer, wine coolers etc. It's a block or two from the Commadore Ballroom and entertainment on Granville Street.

Great location, tiny (but well-appointed) room. Very modern decor. Professional staff.

I loved the location. Right in the middle of downtown with restaurants and bars and many of tourist sights nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price it was a good deal. Don't know if I would stay there again.
