Family Traveling with Teens
The entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, even in the areas where there is supposedly no smoking. We could smell smoke in our "smoke free" room from the rooms next to us. The whole place is banged up, scuffed up and frankly not very clean. The desk staff could not be bothered to clean up spilled food on the floor nor bother to clean up the tables in the breakfast area. The mattress was stained on the sofa bed my son was to sleep on and they didn't give us any kind of mattress protector. We used the blanket they gave us for that. This place is disgusting. This was our first time to try a Microtel and our experience was awful. We will never stay in another Microtel. ...

Family Traveling with Young Children
This hotel is conveniently located but there were a number of issues with our room including broken furniture, a sink that wouldn't drain and a shower curtain that was too small and wouldn't stay closed. Also, there was water damage in the shower and the shower curtain rod barely held itself in place. None of these issues were addressed or repaired during our stay. There were no problems with insects and the general cleanliness level appeared to be high. Probably fine for a solo traveler but not the best option for a family trip. ...

Needs help and the Micro should be explained as actually meaning every thing is small.

Overall, a pretty middling experience that lines up with the price I paid. They don't put in a ton of effort to keep people pleased, but they cover the basics (rudimentary cleaning efforts, appliances worked passably, etc.). You get what you pay for at this place. It got the job done as far as hotels go, but there were areas that were lacking that I really wished had been a little better. The security issue is the most glaring thing. Ultimately, if you need a quick room to crash in and don't have anything valuable left in your vehicle, you SHOULD be fine. Just don't expect the world from these people. ...
