Hotel Guest Reviews of the Mercury Grand Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

There was nothing we liked about the hotel
Beds were too hard, carpet was not cleaned behind desks, beds, and stands, there was no bar as advertised, TV stations selections poor, shower fluctuated between hot and cold, free breakfast was not appetizing.

Ceilings falling down, roof needs repair, rooms smell moldy.

The Lobby
Dead cockroaches, dirty rugs, stained mattresses, old linens, dirt on windows, air conditioner.

I didn't see any bedbugs but the way the room look we did not sleep much that night.

The close proximity to my child's college, as well as the close proximity to restaurants and shops.
My printed reservation and what the hotel actually had was completely different; the boxspring on the bed was torn; the television picture was cloudy and the room did not smell fresh.

The hotel needs serious modernization.

I like Lena the best!(the front desk clerk) She was the one who helped me out tremendously with checking in early and just being super friendly.
Horrible experience, the hotel rented out a room to a party that let out at 4am and they were fighting, cursing, drunk driving and police were all outside my window for over an hour and the staff did nothing to compensate my children's scary experience!

I would never stay here again. They don't care about their guests safety or what happens in the middle of the night here. 4am with car alarms and fighting and police while screaming, cursing and just scaring the hell out my children was completely unnecessary. I couldn't believe this happened right under my window. I went to go to the front desk but didn't want to leave my kids in the room by themselves! Well, had I know that since I waited until the morning to tell them that they wouldn't do anything, I would have gone at 4am. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone with children. I must say that even though she didn't help compensate us for our discomfort, Lena was very friendly and sweet. ...read more

Outstanding breakfast. Common areas were clean. Staff was friendly.
Room had musky odor. Maid service seemed inadequately staffed.

Very nice older hotel which needs some upgrading which hopefully won't adversely affect its charm. Breakfast is excellent. Hotel is located conveniently to highway and shopping. A good value for the cost conscious.
