Hotel Guest Reviews of the Marriott's Custom House

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Fabulous staff, especially Christine who greeted us at front desk. Room was gorgeous. Couldn't ask for a better location for shopping and North End dining. Will definitely stay here next time we're in Boston!

There is a lot of history surrounding the Custom House. Architecture inside and out is stunning. Observation deck is great for views of city. Love the place!
Bedroom was in a loft so had to go downstairs during night for bathroom.

Location, good water pressure.
Useless wall safe with a key.

Great location as a starting point in Boston, beware of noisy bars across the street on three sides. Bring ear plugs or plan to go to sleep at 2 a.m., the wall safe is useless, you will not get a laptop into it, couldn't even fit my mac air. On the plus side it is spacious, and very clean. Do not miss the observation deck for a wonderful view.

The children room and the game room were a good part of the stay at the custom house.
The toilet flush was as loud as thunder.

It's a nice room for family with kids.

Excellent place to stay.

Stay here, go to the observation deck. Enjoy the amazing rooms.

Location, concierge staff, and historic building.
Antiquated and noisy heating system.

Historic custom house with large clock tower - could always find our way back after roaming Boston by locating the tower! Beautiful open rotunda in lobby opens up to 2 levels above. 26th floor sky view walkway offered a fantastic 360 degree view of the city. Rooms were well appointed, rich tapestries, period crown molding. Amenable "kitchen" facilities. The concierge not only secured a restaurant reservation for our large party of 8 on a Saturday night, but when we arrived, had arranged to have personalized menus for us! ...read more

Location is best in Boston - nothing compares. Hotel is well kept, very friendly staff.
Noise level off 2nd floor made it difficult for sleeping. No doors to seperate living from bedroom so early risers may wake those wanting more sleep.

Incredible view off the 26th floor observation deck. Decent rec room w/ pool table. Good kids play area w/ books, games, TV etc... Rooms are large enough but lack privacy within. T outside lobby door for $2 subway ride to airport. Shops, clubs, market, historical sites, aquarium all within walking distance. Lots of tour busses & trolleys to choose from but stay away from SuperTours (green & yellow bus). They promise p/u every 15 mins but it was 30-45 mins and all customers were unhappy. The orange trolleys and duck tours seemed to be everywhere. ...read more
