Hotel Guest Reviews of the Manchester Marriott Victoria And Albert Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel was unique
Staff was not well trained, to check-in was a headache. Receptionist refuse to listen and tried to charge me for a room that was already pre-paid . Room service was a nightmare, once again billing issues and poor customer service.

The hotel is currently under construction so it's not a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are not trained and are constantly making mistakes. On top of the mistakes, they were rude. The food was overpriced and tasteless.

The staff were very helpful and the decor of the building was very sympathetic to the arciteture. Our room had brick exterior walls and ceiling beams which were beautiful.
NO

The location was very central, within walking distance of most things and yet it was very quiet. I would reccomend this hotel very much.

Not much
The hotel is under construction and is definitely not a four star.

I think they took an old three star (barely) hotel put the Marriott name on it and called it a four star!?? Who rates these hotels??

The staff was friendly and helpful.
It did not seem to be cleaned very well. Location was not the best.

The location is a little out of the way, but Manchester is small enough that it was only about a 5 to 10 minute walk to get into the heart of the city. No big deal if you are in good walking shape. The bathroom was not very clean, which was off-putting. The front-desk staff was friendly and helpful. WIFI was expensive...enough hotels offer this for free now that it is annoying to have to pay for it. ...read more

The view of the river Irwell.
It's on the edge of the city/Spinningfields. A bit remote compared to other hotels in Manc.

Pricey internet connection.

The charm of the place is the fact that it used to be a warehouse and many of the original details and supports are still in place, giving it a unique air.
It was a little out of the way from the centre of town. Although for anyone visiting the Museum of Science and Industry it was ideal: across the road!

I would recommend it unreservedly.

Location
Extremely difficult to find parking. Almost impossible

Was in a loud section of the city. Internet sporadic.

Great atmosphere. Very clean and very comforatable.
Slightly off the beaten path, but nothing that would keep me from staying here again

Obviously a refurbished warehouse located off of a canal, the property has a certain Industrial revelotion charm. Once you learn the area, it is easy to access main attraction from the inner city bus. Hotel is very clean, staff very friendly, and amenities are modern/convenient.

Comfortable and attractive redevelopment of industrial building; attentive and friendly staff

Very enjoyable hotel. Great place to stay in Manchester. Easy walk to restaurants and night life.
