Hotel Guest Reviews of the Magnuson Hotel & Suites Gulf Shores

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Broken ice machine, broken doors, holes in the wall, no maid service, only allowed 2 towels per room and you have to turn them in to get new ones, air barely worked, rooms were dirty, front desk was rude. Awful hotel!!

Hotel was super close to beach, Walmart, gift shops, zoo, everything you could possibly want as far as location, yet quiet and peaceful. The indoor pool was nice, rooms were big, staff was friendly and helpful. For the $$$ it was def worth it!!!
Ice maker was down, laundry machine took our money, towels were a little hard to come by. Needs lighting out front near street, hard to see where to turn into.

Location good.Staff very helpful but overworked. .The front desk ladies were super, excellent, great, however, they spent most of their time putting out fires due to everything (everything)being broken in hotel...The cleaning staff super nice room spotless
Lots of room doors had been broken into would not lock without some hard lifting, hot tub,air in halls and elevator, washer dryer, ice maker,washer/dryer, ice maker ALL BROKEN.Sad really could be nice. Breakfast poor..loaf bread, coffee

the location, could walk to the beach. The description says 4 miles if it was 4 miles didnt seem like it. Also the hotel is in distance of souvenir shops and restaurants.
the hotel sign said best western there were things mechanically wrong with rooms the staff did their best to help however they're understaffed they were short on bath towels daily we had to wait for them to be laundered asking constantly for clean ones

they need to be on a hotel make over reality show. the location is awesome. driving up to the hotel it appears to be closed, the signs are deceiving too, there's no lighting outside at night not safe for driving. IF the owners would spend a little time/money investing in it I believe their ROI would be great. it's cheap quiet and close to the beach, stores activities, and restaurants. ...read more

Nothing Really.
Called to ask for an early Check-In, was told 'No, check-in is 3 pm'. When to check-in at 2:55 pm, was told our room was not ready and would not be ready until around 4 or 4:30 pm'. So much for 3pm check-in. Room was dirty and smelled real BAD.

The rooms need to be updated and cleaned better also they need to rent to older people not just anyone who walks thru the door at 11 the fire alarm went off and everyone had to stand outside until the fire department came to check everything

Because some young teenagers pulled the fire alarm several guests left.
