Like the place. Plan to stay again. Wish the restaurant was more consistent.

Hotel was nice but should have been for the cost. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Food at restaurant was very good. Restaurant and hotel check in at one location and we were at another. Did not see any staff where our room was located. Did not really feel like a bed & breakfast.remaining

I was a little disappointed at first, because they switched our room to a new location. It was an upgrade though and once we settled in I got over the fact that I wouldn't have access to a tub or a hot tub, as promised. It was out of the village proper and so there was no noise to deal with and it turned out to be a fantastic stay. The wait staff was not only professional, but personable as well. ...

We had a wonderful stay. The room and view was gorgeous. The restaurant was understaffed and breakfast was slow (more than an hour at the table waiting for our food.) Overall, a great experience except for the restaurant.

This place far surpassed our expectations. It was beautiful and peaceful. It's right in the heart of Mendocino within walking distance to just about everything. The staff was amazing. The restaurant was top-notch. We will stay again and we'll be sure to eat all our meals in the main house. The food was delicious and the staff was perfect.
The rooms are cozy and beautifully decorated (COMFORTABLE BED!) and the grounds were so impressive. I walked around for about an hour loving the gardens. This place is OUTSTANDING and I've already recommended it to several people. ...

Overall, it is a charming inn. However, the rooms seem to need a little upgrading (dirty carpet in our room). The staff seemed mostly really nice but excessively busy. It also appears that the hotel charged us $34.92 above the agreed amount of ---, even though we didn't add any charges to our room bill. Next time we will try the Mendocino Hotel on Main Street.
