Hotel Guest Reviews of the Lexington Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This inn has a lot of potential. It is cozy and the air conditioning systems work well. The bathrooms are updated and the water pressure is great. It is in a great location for weekend lake trip. The man that assisted us was extremely warm and friendly.
The rooms could be cleaner. Dust was accumulating on things and the toilet had mildew in it. Also, some of the rooms have been smoked in, which is no fault of the owners but could be enforced with an extra cleaning fee for those that ignore the rules.

This inn has potential to be a great overnight place for weekend boating enthusiasts. However, they need to keep it clean. Most of the weekenders are not looking for the Hilton as many are also campers, but certainly a clean place in good repair is welcome. I suggest enforcing the smoking rules by imposing a fee on those that ignore them. Some people are highly allergic to smoke and it is terrible for babies and children so it is reaosnable that an inn should enforce these postings. Most people will not smoke in the room when these fees are listed. Also, one of the rooms smelled strongly of cat (urine or dirty litter perhaps) Again, simply enforcing things would go a long way. As would a thorough cleaning. Our room had mildew in the toilet and a thick layer of dust on some of the objects in the room. Concerns me as to how clean other things maybe like the bedding. On the up side, the man running the place is extremely warm and friendly. I think he truly wants a happy customer. Also, the air conditioning worked great and the water pressure was outstanding. As a businessperson myself, I would encourage the owner to keep the place clean and in good repair. Older furniture is fine and adds to the rustic appearance of the rooms so long as it is in good repair. Pleas epay attention to the odors in the room and use some inexpensive baking soda on the carpeting and air it out. Walking into a smelly room makes oyu afraid to touch anything becasue you don't know the source. If ever to renovate again, make all of the rooms cedar! Please enforce smoking postings and please keep the rooms clean. Another suggestion is drop the old motel style comforters and go for the sheet covered duvet. They are inexpensive and easily washed with sheets and provide a very clean bed. I realize this is just a one star inn, but these suggestions are not expensive and yet could go a long way to wooing the weekend travelers that are looking for a nice weekend retreat near a lake ...read more

Convenient location.
Staff not on premises. They had to come from another hotel to check us in.

Cheap. Good. Owners evidently own the Econolodge across the street also. We were greeted by a locked lobby door with a sign saying to call or go over to the Econolodge for service. At check out the same sign was laying on the desk in the open lobby. Other than that it was a good stay.
