Hotel Guest Reviews of the Cliffbreakers Riverside Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very large, spacious room. Good breakfast buffet. Great customer service.
The hotel is tired looking and could use a face-lift. Poor made service.

Good value for the money. The breakfast was exceptional, and included stuff like bacon and eggs. The shower water pressure was very good, but the bed was a bit lumpy. Maid service was lacking; got overlooked completely the first day, and then the second day they only made the beds! They left all the garbage piled up against the wall, and the bathroom was untouched. The pool was very warm, which was much appreciated. ...read more

The staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Guest hanging out drinking in the parking lot in lawn chairs. Empty beer can stayed on the side table our whole visit. It doesn't look like anything has been updated in the hotel for the past 20 years (carpet, etc).

Overall, I would not say that this was a 3 star hotel. More updates need to be made and it needs to be cleaner.

The area the hotel was located. The desk staff was helpful.
The décor was old and creepy. The décor gave it a haunted feeling. The room service was not good. They gave us one towel with a 2 bed room, no cups, and the maids forgot to clean our room.

The location was excellent , close to freeway, Walmart, tennis sites. Breakfast was the best ever!
The hallways between the rooms had an odd smell. Luckily the rooms had no odor or we could not have stayed. Carpets are dirty but the facility is aged. The bathroom was very nice, large, modern and the rooms themselves were a good size.

Comfort, well trained and ALWAYS friendly, educated staff with warm but impeccable manners. I looked forward to the hot buffet breakfast, with waffles, pancakes, eggs, bakery juices and delicious meats and coffee. The room overlooked the river and trees.
Only disappointment was no HGTV channel, but there were plenty of other choices.

Free hot breakfast, free parking, free internet (with 10 choices to get the strongest connection anywhere on the property, indoor, clean, heated swimming pool, exercise room, excellent high quality restaurant on property, banquet /conference facilities but away from sleeping rooms, ALL employees were helpful, personable, well-trained and genuinely wanting to do a good job, happy and friendly. Rooms were large, good sized bath with tub/shower combination, wide vanity and clean. Shower pressure was strong and water refreshing. With allergies, I appreciate lack of "fragrance" lingering in the room or halls, just clean an fresh. They have a shuttle van we did not use. It would be best to have a car here. The room had a well working mini refrig and coffeemaker but a grocery was not near by to buy food. They did have an attractive enclosed area with wood built in cabinets with snacks, and necessities if you needed them. I didn't inquire about cost but there was no sign saying it was complimentary but that what be above and beyond expectations. Very comfortable lobby with leather groupings and a large fireplace. We would recommend this to our friends and definitely return in the future. ...read more

Every staff member was well trained, personable and...happy! I'm talking about desk, dining, even housekeeping...and I don't recall this at any other 3 star hotel in our past travels. They went above and beyond including a full hot buffet vs advertised CB
location on the river was ok but tree growth blocked view though still pretty; location was quiet but without a car we would have felt stranded.

Gorgeous Old English carved wood throughout, excellent high end restaurant, on the riverfront, backed up against a less than thriving shopping strip mall. Rooms were large and comfortable, breakfast buffet was hot, delicious bakery and plenty to drink. Two attendants kept the room clean and food fresh. Glass plates and metal flatwear, cloth and paper napkins, fireplace with leather couch and chairs, as well as tables. Indoor, heated swimming pool and exercise room away from guest rooms and halls were always quiet. We never heard voices or noises from the adjoining rooms. This reservation was an added day to our previous 5 days we liked it so much. Free breakfast, free internet, free parking, no smoking anywhere(!), family friendly but there were single travelers as well and of all ages. I never heard a single complaint. ...read more
