Hotel Guest Reviews of the Lake Tahoe Ambassador Lodge

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The lady at the front desk happened to be nice.
It was extremely old and outdated. No heat no AC, the sheet were dirty and had to be changed. No coffee, no soap, no shampoo and conditioner. Floor was not vacuumed. It was an extremely uncomfortable. It is in the slum neighborhood! Don't stay here!

Horrible! Not worth the price.

Although old, everything in the room was clean and functional.

The location
The room was from 1968. Nothing had been updated. The locks looked like someone had been trying to pry them open. No air conditioning. The screen on the window was broken.

Good location and very good staff.
No Air conditioning(out side was above 90 degrees). Pool was heated to 99 degrees- some type of accident. Coffee creamer was bad.

Good parking and access to beach was a little far to walk in the Heat. (above 90 degrees).

It's staff!
You could feel every spring in the mattress. It probably would have been more comfortable sleeping on the box spring or floor. I would assume this mattress is the original one from when this hotel was built in the 40's, everything else is original.

Needs a major remodel. Everything is very old and way past time for replacement including carpet, green toilet, sink and shower. I turn the ceiling fan to high and it almost fell off the ceiling. If I wasn't there to turn it off it definitely would've ripped off the ceiling

The drapes and mattress dont seem to be very new. No AC.

First time staying at a non-chain lodge. Really nice staff.

Convenient location, decent size and clean room. You can walk to the casinos and to the Heavenly Village.
Breakfast was supposed to start at 8:30am but nobody was at the reception by 8:40am.

There was mold in the shower, beds were old and very soft, one of the box springs on the bed was broken. Continental Breakfast served starting at 8:30am, after the ski resort lifts start running, so could not take advantage of it.

Decor needs updating and routine maintenance is lacking.

1. The hotel is within walking distance to the heavenly ski resort. 2. Breakfast is provided in the hotel.
1. The staff is rude , the hotel charges an 7 dollar extra fee and only provides one queen room for guests who booked from priceline,I have to pay---- dollar more to upgrade the room. 2. The room is outdated, shower in the bathroom is not working.

Bad experience, I will never try this hotel again.
