Hotel Guest Reviews of the La Quinta Inn And Suites Boston Somerville

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Proximity to city and shuttle service.
Some of the staff members seemed like they didn't want to be there & really had no customer service skills what-so-ever.By the way they spoke to the guests, to eating behind the counter and being on their cell phones behind the counter--no professionalism

The hotel was pretty standard. The bed was very comfortable. It was clean enough. But one of the staff members really left a sour taste in my mouth. More than likely wouldn't give the hotel a second chance unless the price was low enough.

It had as room
Drying off after a shower was like rubbing your skin with an emery board. So rough, and thin cheesy towels. Something you might expect in a youth hostel or a YMCA room.

Comfortable beds.
For--- I would like something a little better than a sardine can. 10 channels on the TV, at least one was a movie channel. Also the biggest disappointment was a pool was advertised BUT no more pool. A/C quit working in the middle of the night!

The location of the hotel was decent.
The hotel room was tiny. The so called Queen size bed was smaller than a regular full size. Never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a microwave in it before.

I liked that the room was large (standard two double beds), there was free breakfast (waffles, bagles, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal etc.) There was a shuttle to the T(the subway).
The room smelled a little like smoke, not too bad, but noticeable.

Nearby are a few shops (Christmas Tree Shop, Sports Authority, K Mart and others).Right across the parking lot is a 99 Restaurant. The shuttle to the T is every hour on the hour until 10pm. Had a good experience with this. Quincy Market and the aquarium were only a 10-15 minute T ride from the station the hotel drops you off at. Very convenient. The staff was friendly and allowed us to keep our luggage with them after we checked out so we could explore the city (and also use their shuttle service to the T). Overall, a good experience and a good price. Boston is sure pricey for hotels! ...read more

The close proximity to boston for a reasonable price.
Nothing

Staff was sooooo nice and helpful from the moment we walked through the door. They were a great help telling us the easiest and cheapest way to get to and from fenway. The breakfast was great quite a little variety for a free breakfast. Comfy beds, clean rooms, and overall just a great little place to stay if you want to stay close to boston without paying the boston prices. Will definitely stay here next time! ...read more

We stayed there for the Boston Marathon. The room was average but clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel provided a shuttle service to and from the T for marathon runners.
The pillows were not as soft as I would like, and some parts of the rooms were outdated.
