Hotel Guest Reviews of the King's Rest Motel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Staff were helpful, room was clean
Room was tiny, bedding and towels poor quality, much too expensive for the location, amenities and room

nothing, should not have been a 2 star option on priceline...
one word "motel". I was misled into thinking that a 2 star hotel would be like a Days Inn or a Comfort inn. They didn't even have a Free continental breakfast....

Nothing, it was the worst Hotel since I have been using Priceline which is last eight years. I don't understand how did you give this Hotel 2 Stars. It seems like you have cheated us.
Everything, From Hotel Staff to Hotel Room.

Nothing, it was the worst Hotel since I have been using Priceline which is last eight years. I don't understand how did you give this Hotel 2 Stars. It seems like you have cheated us. We have to beg for the iron. They had only one iron for the whole hotel. Had no Iron board. When the owner gives us the iron, he instructed us not to damage his furniture. Which I haven't heard in my life anybody telling me this. Shower was very small and had a pressure washer setting. It seems like they are trying to save every single penny at the expense of their guests. It was just an horrible experience. Just because of that I will not ever get hotel in that city. Please remove this Hotel from your list as it will hurt your business in long run. ...read more

Both smell and service were bad. I used Express Deal for 2 stars hotel, but given 1 star. The hotel rating as 1 star and some bad reviews, so i used Express Deal for 2 Star to avoid this one; so i had no idea why given this one which i really don't like.

I used Express Deal for 2 star hotel and a room with two beds, however, i was given 1 star and one bed. I talked to staff there, but they didn't care at all. The room smell really bad ...

Family owned with a very friendly staff.
Surfaces on furniture, counters, and in the bathroom had a greasy film; had to wipe them down with a napkin. It may be caused by the cleaning chemicals housekeeping uses. Train tracks are right next to the property.

The greeter was nice.
The room was awful, small, decorated worse than a dorm room. The was awful. The clientele was low class and scary. There was no shampoo or extra toilet paper. The sheets were cheap. I hated this hotel.

Never stay here. Never recommend this hotel/motel to anyone. Please book else where. This is a one star hotel at best.

It was very clean and the price was right! Beds and bathroom/shower were very clean. Close to HWY 101. Parked right in front of our room (just a few steps away).
Shower was hard spraying water, but the bathroom/shower was very clean so not really complaining about this at all.

My wife, two kids (4 & 7) and I were very pleased with this hotel. We hit traffic on the way and were happy to have received a phone call from the front office just as we entered Gilroy. They were checking to see if we were still on our way and then helped with directions once we exited the freeway. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a clean and safe place to stay. Our kids liked the room and slept well through the night. ...read more

The room and bathroom was very clean and quite OK. The motel is nicely kept.
Very loud music from adjacent pub. Trains passing by. Be sure to bring ear plugs.

Good value for money. Not quiet. If noise is not a problem, can be recommended.

This hotel was in a convienent location, and the staff was freindly.
The rooms are a little small and outdated. The door for the shower leaked water all over ther floor.

This hotel was in a good location, clean, and the staff was friendly. The price was a little expensive for the type of room they have to offer. They need to revise their rates.
