I just stayed at the JW Marriott Phuket for the second time, so obviously I like the hotel. Still, there are a couple of things to be aware of (1) the hotel is located away from everything in Phuket (a blessing and a curse) and (2) you are basically forced to eat in the hotel's restaurants (which gets expensive). Another complaint is that there is no wireless Internet coverage in the rooms, you have to plug in (and pay) for Internet access (approximately USD16 per night). The restaurants are nice, the hotel's beach is beautiful as are its (three) pools. ...

Overall the hotel is good except the attitude of staff.

The JW is an amazing hotel with amazing rooms, pools, restaurants and friendly staff. The pools are right off of a beautiful beach and the restaurants are numerous and delicious. The lowest priced restaurant was the Siam Deli where a hamburger with fries was approximately USD10. Buffets, sushi and Thai restaurants were higher priced.

You'll think you are in paradise. The hotel structures blend perfectly with the surroundings, the atmosphere is light, airy, lush. I totally relaxed.

Great resort with wonderful pool and plentiful restaurant choices. Beach is decent. Location is far off the beaten path. Plan on 1 hour commute to Phuket town center. Great place for retreats and romantic getaways. Facilities and grounds are very well kept. Impressed by resort.
A little bit turned-off by the prices and lack of accessibility to town.

Great beach, pools, very safe good security, unfortunately my girlfriend got food poisoning from the cafe, you would not expect this from a 5 star facility, its was not such a good stay because of this, hint don't order a club sandwych at this hotel ever
