Hotel Guest Reviews of the Jailhouse Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

good location. but bisbbe is sooo small that location doesn't really matter.
we arrived the hotel 6:30 pm Friday and found no one in the reception (left keys). the room was extremely small. The AC was broken so they placed portable noisy AC in the room. we couldn't reach the staff even we left many messages.

it is a small old and not very well maintained hotel. We visit Bisbee very often and it was our first and last time in this place. for the same budget you can get much better deals in this lovely town.

This place is as charming as it's proprietor. There is nothing "jail house" about this establishment except its history. The rooms are individually decorated with art works and personal touches in an attractive and comfortable manner.
Nothing.

It is located on the doorstep of Old Bisbee and across the road form the Golf Buggy Tours (worth doing). Bisbee is a gem of a town and far, far, better in every way than Tombstone (tired, dusty and all shot out). It has history (the museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate); charm (wooden clapboard houses on quaint twisting streets, art deco public buildings, and mining town remnants); art (galleries, public installations and street art); food (great variety of places to dine in walking distance), personalities (just start talking to a local) and well worth your time to explore. ...read more

The hotel was very clean and we felt right at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The only problem is that the rooms are not on the ground floor. It is not recommended for handicaps in wheel chair. Toilet flush was very weak. The portable AC was a bit noisy.

It has alot of funky charm and the hostess was very nice. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
We booked 2 rooms, #2 and #4: small/obstructed views. nothing cheap in Bisbee. My room was cold I don't think the heat worked. They have a small plug in radiator but that didn't help since I plugged it in at 3 a.m. No dressers for clothes.

Ask for a front facing room or room #1 which is huge but in the back.

History, convenient location, only five rooms, cost was reasonable and facility offered a spa on site. Wonderful spa soaps in the rooms. Pearl, the only staff member ever seen, is very accommodating & down to earth.
Because it is located right off a busy street, traffic is heard by the two front rooms. Area behind lobby counter could be cleaner since the appliances are offered for guest use.

After reading reviews we were skeptical but, we do like adventures. We were pleasantly surprised and very comfortable. You definitely need to bring your own pillows. We will return and request room #1 or one of the other two rooms that do not face the street noise.
