Hotel Guest Reviews of the International House Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel had very cool ambiance, and the bar was fantastic. The room was also lovely, if small (room 1104). The location is very close to the French Quarter and Harrah's without the traffic and noise issues that you'd have staying in the actual Quarter.
No

Positives: -Free WiFi -Free coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning -Aveda bath products -Free aperitif from 4pm to 5pm in the lobby near the bar -Fantastic staff, friendly and efficient Could be Negatives: -No coffeemaker in the room -Had to call the front desk for ice -Room (1104) lacked a dresser but did have 3 drawers and a nice-sized mini-fridge in the TV armoire ...read more

Great location. Lovely hotel.
The only draw back was the room was right off the elevator and I could hear folks coming in late.

Room was small but very pretty and clean.

We were a group of 12 and someone had suprised us with a second line. The guys could not start playing until 10.30 am and they started playing inside the hotel lobby...loud as you can imagine and they never complained...just that alone was pretty cool

awesome experience overall..we even had a friend staying at one of the no window rooms...same size just no windows...pretty cool idea for those who like to sleep in total darkness

The location was great, with easy walking distance to all the great spots.

The staff were great! The location is also ideal - close to the quarter and the bus/trolley lines.
The rooms were ill-thought-out. The shower had very low water pressure. The tv cabinet kept closing while the tv was on. The beds are very small. There was no bathtub - only a shower.

Everyone was very friendly.
The bathroom door did not stay closed - perhaps the room needed some updating.

The hotel was very close to nearby attractions.
The hotel staff was unaware of policies regarding payments and fees associated with the rooms.

The hotel overall was nice, but when it came down to payment, the associates had no knowledge of what goes on. I was told I would be charged a 60.00 incidental fee, then the next night I was billed for the first night plus taxes, then upon check out I was billed the whole amount due, then the first night was to be refunded to me.

The ambiance.

The hotel is right in the middle of all the best attractions. Great ambiance and friendly staff.
