Hotel Guest Reviews of the Intercontinental Paris-Avenue Marceau

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, the staff amazing, and the hotel is gorgeous. I can not say enough good things about the staff or the hotel. Everyone was wonderful and very helpful and pleasant. Super time there!
Every thing was perfect!

We arrived prior to our room being available but the hotel manager opened up another room for us to rest until the other patrons departed, wonderful! we took a nap and then moved to our room and took off! Paris was wonderful, the hotel was gorgeous, the staff amazing, and the location was perfect! The breakfast was delivered to the room as requested, the maid service was wonderful, the young man at the bar was a delight! and every staff member was pleasant, acknowledged you upon arrivals and departures, all were super and so very helpful. I asked for a taxi to take us back to the airport on the last day and the hotel arranged it all and they were right on time and a wonderful young man drove us to the airport. I can say nothing but positive things about the hotel, the staff, the food, or the location. A wonderful break in Paris at a wonderful hotel with friendly, professional staff members! We will be back! ...read more

The front desk staff and Olivier, the concierge, were very friendly and efficient. The restaurant, while a little pricey, was quite good.
The rooms.

The first room we were given was on the first floor- literally it was next door to a staff changing/room lounge and the was about 15 feet from the restaurant and looked directly into the kitchen. The bathroom had a floor drain- no tub or shower enclosure- but the floor isn't sloped enough for the water to go to the drain so it just filled the bathroom and ran out into the bedroom carpet. This shouldn't be a rentable room in an Econo-Lodge, so it is ridiculous to find it in an Inter-Cont. They couldn't move us the first day because they were reportedly full, but they did move us the next day. The next room was better-no staff noise at 6 AM, no water flowing on the carpet- but it was ridiculously small. To give you an idea of how small, we could barely walk around the bed and had a very difficult time finding a place for our 2 suitcases. Our 1st four days in Paris were spent at the Pont Royale and for approximatley the same rate, the room was twice the size and had an outdoor balcony. The ceilings in the rooms are also pretty tacky- black and white photograph of a Sistine Chapelesque mural across most of the ceiling. The maid service was also not very good (eg. on two of the 3 days, our room wasn't made up when we returned after 4PM. This hotel really, really does not live-up to what one would expect from an upmarket hotel brand like Intercontinental. I would strongly recommend not staying here. ...read more

the concierge was extremely helpful with touring advice and tickets etc. Front desk very professional, efficient and friendly

Terrific location to subways if you want to avoid spending money on cabs. the walk location is very central and walking to and from a variety of subway options is actually a pleasure. hotel and staff are both terrific, especially found the concierge to be helpful

Friendly staff and they upgraded us to premier room no charge.
Not allow more than one kid per room - not acceptable.

Great hotel. Obviously the price is high due to location. Had great time and friendly service. Everyone spoke English and were friendly. Breakfast could be better, it was the same thing everyday. Safe hotel. Enjoyed our stay. Also had WiFi for kid to use.
