Hotel Guest Reviews of the Intercontinental New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel is in such close proximity to great restaurants, a streetcar stop and the ever famous Bourbon St.
The only 2 complaints I had about the hotel would be the construction, which will be completed in a few months, and some holds that were placed on my debit card. The hotel was quick to fix the issue and apologized with wine and chocolate strawberries.

The location was great. 2 blocks from bourbon street and the mardi gra parades passed right in front of the hotel.
1)There was no mention of the hotel being under construction when we booked. The hotel was completely covered in scaffolding it was difficult to find and ugly to see.2)The pool was closed. even though the high temp for the day was 75 degrees.3) overcharged

We were overcharged for the stay. We payed--- a night plus tax and the hotel website advertised for--- a night plus tax thats over 40 dollars a night overcharged. A really bad deal from priceline. Our view from the room was also horrible. It featured cigerrete butts and an empty liquor bottle on the window sill and of course more scaffolding. Just an overall bad experience booking through priceline. ...read more

The room and bathroom were spaceous, clean, and in very good condition
The lobby and small dining area were not very good.

This hotel is in a good location, a few blocks from the french quarter and down the street from the superdome. It is also a decent location for mardi gras as most parades pass nearby. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spaceous and nice. What i didnt like was the lobby area, not much to it. Also the small restaurant service was bad and the breakfast cold. This stay was over Christmas, that could be a reason for the table service issue. Parking, $40/day. Renovations were in progress on the bottom floor where coffee shop is located. Price was right! ...read more

Location and friendly staff
No

The location of the hotel was great. Within walking distance to french quarter, bourbon st. and the french market. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Mother's restaurant is only two blocks away. A must to visit in New Orleans!

Look, it's pretty nice, and it's not super super expensive, at least through Priceline.
Deceptive pet policy. When I booked on priceline before they reveal the name of the hotel, the only details given were "pets allowed". To my surprise after revealing the hotel, I found that the pet fee is $150. One HUNDRED and FIFTY dollars. $30 more than

Look, it's pretty nice, and it's not super super expensive, at least through Priceline. But getting this through Priceline will get you a deceptive pet policy. When I booked on priceline before they reveal the name of the hotel, the only details given were "pets allowed". To my surprise after revealing the hotel, I found that the pet fee is $150. One HUNDRED and FIFTY dollars. $30 more than our room cost - I could have got a seperate room just for the bloody dog for that much. I was furious but these rooms are not refundable and we just had to cough it up. Also only valet parking at $32 bucks a pop and you're only adding insult to injury.Lesson learned, I'm never booking anything through priceline again when I'm not at my most flexible (with my wife only). ...read more

Great rooms and great location. The front desk staff were a bit rude and indifferent at times. Maybe because they noticed that I am paying a really cheap rate. The concierge was poorly staffed
Hotels should really not be charging for basic amenities like microwaves!?!I had to pay 20 dollars just so that I could get a microwave in the room to heat up my infant's milk and food. Granted its not a lot of money, but its the principle that

DONT PARK WITH THE HOTEL! They charge an arm and a leg ($36/day)Right next to the hotel there is Premium Parking that has in/out privileges and costs $25/day. Furthermore, about 1.5 blocks away (on 816 Union Street) there is another Premium Parking place that charges $20/day and also has in/out privileges. This second place charges $15/day for weekend. We used the second parking space on Union Street and it saved us $70 over 4 days. ...read more

Everything! From the wonderful staff to the location and the room, I would definitely stay here again!

Walking distance to everything in New Orleans! We walked to breakfast (Red Gravvy and Ruby Slipper) and to the Louisiana Children's Museum. We also walked to Canal street and rode the trolley up and down the river. Wonderful place to stay!
