The location was FANTASTIC!
Carpet=filthy, a/c=SUPER loud, shower sprung leak, no hot water the last day.

The lobby was beautiful, the location magnificent, and the staff was friendly and cheerful...but I would NEVER stay here again due to the room conditions. The carpet was so dirty I didn't want to remove my shoes, the a/c ran constantly and so loudly you couldn't really watch tv (afraid I'd disturb my neighbors). The shower dripped all the time, finally springing a leak the last day and showering the whole room, which I cleaned up. There was also no hot water the last day. VERY disappointed in the conditions of the room. ...read more

Location was central and made it easy for us to get around while visiting Chicago. We didn't have a car, so the fact that it was within walking distance to most things or close to public transportation made it perfect for us.
The elevators were incredibly slow. I know that sounds petty, but I didn't realize what a difference it makes. They were also very small so when we did get an elevator we needed to wait for another because it was full.

Overall, the hotel was just ok. Nothing fancy and we were only staying a few nights and we didnt' spend that much time in the room so it served its purpose. The people were very nice and the location was great. The hotel bar was horrible; the worst drinks I've ever had. They were overpriced and watered down. We only had one drink while we were waiting for friends. There are so many other options close by I would recommend finding a different watering hole. There is a nice roof deck that was nice to hang out on and enjoy the views while sipping coffee or an adult beverage. I would recommend this hotel as long as you know not to have too high expectations. It was clean and in a safe neighborhood with nice people. ...read more

It's in a great location, and the lobby is great.
The public areas- especially the rooftop deck, are filthy. There was beer bottles, broken glass, cigarettes butts everywhere. It's a great view of the city, but really wasted space.

It's in a great location- right off the Mag Mile and the staff was perfectly nice. However, this hotel is badly in need of some updates and a good deep-cleaning. There's weird stains throughout the hotel, part of one of the elevators is caved in, the wallpaper in our room was peeling, there was a mystery black stain on the bathroom mirror and the AC never seemed to be working- it always blew sort of warmish air, no matter the temp. it was set to. For one night, it was fine to deal with, but any longer would have been too much. ...read more

The location is great. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to take your drink, but it could use a little more attention to the cleanliness. The tables weren't wiped off at all during the 2 nights I was there.
The gentleman that works during the night shift was down right rude when I asked to use the lobby restroom. It may have been 2 o'clock in the morning, but that shouldn't mean that I be treated as an inconvience rather than a paying guest of their hotel.

The location is great. The room was pretty small, but clean and very fresh smelling. The hotel staff were all very nice and accomidating, apart from that one rude employee who treated me as if I were there begging people for money instead of as a paying guest. I felt mistreated and am still unhappy with his overt display of rudeness. There are ways of saying no without being mean and disrespectful. ...read more

We enjoyed the Skyline Terrace in the evening.
Parking was easy but expensive.

Location
It was run down...shabby furniture and carpeting...lobby furniture was appalling. Noisy air conditioner...no chair in the tiny room. Desk but no chair. Never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a chair to sit on.

Location - being right in the heart of the city made it easy to get around.
Parking - there is not designated partking for the hotel. Price for suggested parking ramp did not match price hotel quoted.
