Location
The elevators were not working properly at all the entire visit. The room was not modern and there was a lot of chipped paint. The bathroom door had a lot of chipped pieces and the shower head did not work properly.

The location was excellent! It was easy to walk to most downtown places and to stop back at the hotel inbetween jaunts.
Housekeeping only did the minimum, like remaking the beds, but not replenishing the coffee cups.

The location is awesome. 1 block from Michigan Ave. easy access to CTA. Walking distance to many visitor areas.
The first room we had for 1 night. It had 1 queen sized bed. The room was very run down, blanket had holes in it. It was more of a 2 star, maybe, not a 3 star room. We paid extra for an upgrade. The second room was much better.

The hotel staff was very helpful, especially the bell hops. They went above and beyond in helping us.

Location was wonderful
Hall carpets were bunched up and twisted. Room smelled odd. Curtains had probably never been cleaned. (They were full of dust and who knows what else. Anyone who slept next to the curtain got some kind of upper respiratory illness.)

Maids never left enough towels or toilet paper. We had to call the desk daily to request more. Staff did not know where things were in the city. Rooms were very small. Elevators were very small. It was probably a beautiful hotel once, but it has not been kept up.

That it was centrally located. Staff were friendly and helpful.Has a cool roof top terrace.
The hotel was very old, which is fine but the carpets in hall were dirty and carpet in room smelled musty. The room was very small, but we didn't spend much time there, so it was OK.

It had old character, very friendly staff, clean.
