Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location is excellent, right across from the beach and located in the heart of Waikiki. Also, all of the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful.
My biggest problem with the hotel was there was an issue getting into my room. The room was not ready at the check in time even with requesting an early check in. The hotel did make amends for the mistake, at least.

Location and shopping.
Furniture and rooms/bathrooms a bit outdated, but still clean and comfortable! Also, elevators are noisy in the Diamond Head Tower.

Really great service, overall very pleased with the selection!

It was a beautiful hotel and room. Even with the price we still had a partial view of the beach. A great time was had by all!
The additional fees were much higher than expected. After the quoted room price of ---, the price with fees, taxes and parking was over ---.

Perfect Location.
1. Feels old, 2. Charged $25 daily resort fees. HIDDEN FEES!!!!!!! VERY ANNOYING!!!!

I am disappointed that in addition to $48.84 in Taxes and Fees charged by Priceline, then the hotel also charged a mandatory $25 daily resort fee (total of $50 for 2 night). HIDDEN FEES!!!!!!! VERY ANNOYING!!!! RUINS EVERYTHING!!!!! Priceline should make this obvious when one books the hotel. It is a total of $25x2 + $48.84 = $98.84 in fees. Dani

It's on Waikiki
Not really

Popular with Japanese. First level is essentially a mall. Great musubi shop just behind the hotel.

The available view, if you are willing to pay for it, overlooks the Waikiki strip and is absolutely fabulous as was the location. The hotel is across the street from bus stops, restaurants, the beach and bars. The staff was very friendly and professional.
When I saw four stars, my expectations lead me to expect a little more in terms of the physical accommodations. The room, clean and complete with standard frills, e.g. iron, fridge, etc., was a bit dated and the bathroom; boring.

PROS: Great location, friendly and very professional staff. Close to bus stops that will take you anywhere you'd like to go on the island. I recommend using those for major getting around. The bus is much less expensive than taxis and an easy way to see the island. Sign up for the Gold Rewards Card when you stay here and accept the couple of extras thrown in. You pay extra, but have one hour of international calls, free local calls and extended happy hour added to your stay. Betty and Nohea are some of the most accommodating hotel staff I¿ve encountered in some time. CONS: Nothing bad to say about this location. Just do not come expecting contemporary or fancy furnishings. Additionally, do not expect a great view without paying, but this might be the case at any hotel. ...read more
