Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Ruby

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was very friendly.
If this place is a 3 star location I guess motel 6 is a 3 star also. The room was small no coffee pot in room. I stayed at quality inn two weeks ago in spokane that place was classified 2 star. Was a much nicer experience than this place.

No handicap parking, no coffee in room no clock in room, This is the smallest room I have ever been in. The breakfast not up to 3 star quality. This room needs to be updated.

Nothinguch. Very disappointed. Parking is about 10 spaces overflow is a 2-3 block walk plus you pay for parking
No EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! In fact left after loudness, no available parking, having to walk to get car 2-3 blocks and paid additional Money for another hotel elsewhere and priceline and hotel ruby argue about reimbursing me! Joke!

Absolutely nothing.
I've already written customer service about this awful experience, see my letter below.

To sum it up, it was AWFUL. Hotel Ruby is right next to the train tracks, so that not only did we have to contend with the thunderous noise, we had to deal with the shaking vibrations every time one went by, frequently, all night long. The room smelled bad, I would tell you if I could identify what the smell was but I couldn't. There was mold/mildew all along the window frame on the INSIDE of the room and the bathroom fan didn't work - there was no air flow at all - so I'm not surprised about the mold/mildew. Trying to turn on the air conditioner to get some air flowing, both hot and cold, made the already poor air quality in the room even worse. My traveling companion has respiratory issues and was so irritated by the poor air that she coughed and wheezed all night long. The lighting was horrible, and to make matters worse 3 of the lights in the main overhead light were out. There was long brown hair all over the bathroom, as well as soap scum and beard stubble all over the soap holder. I was told I would get a king size bed, we were given a double (I'd be hard-pressed to call it a queen). We could hear every drunken fool walking past all night long as if they were yelling into a megaphone. It was so bad we surrendered the second night of our stay at Hotel Ruby and moved to the DoubleTree in downtown Spokane. How are you able to rate Hotel Ruby with 3 stars? I've stayed at the Red Lion River Inn in Spokane, you've also rated that one 3 stars, and it is so much better than this dump, it can't hold a candle to the Red Lion. Please explain how you can rate them the same! You've lost my business, Priceline. I will never book through you again. more

Good location, close to lots of downtown spots!
Improve your breakfast selections. The orange juice was awful. A few different juice selections would be great.

Great room and bed. I had a great sleep.
Cold water ran really hot for 5 minutes and internet was weak.

For the money this is a great place to stay. The room was very nice and I had a great sleep on the bed. I also liked the free breakfast. The waffle machine was great! A
problem with the cold water, which ran hot for 5 minutes before cooling. The internet was very weak. Could be because we were in the end room. Having said that, the router should still have given us decent internet. It didn't. Parking was difficult. $5.00 extra and very small stalls. If I visited Spokane in the future I would stay at the Ruby and would recommend it to my friends. When I told the person at the front desk about my cold water problem she gave me a 10% discount. Very nice! more

When I returned to check in - no reservation and no rooms. I had to find a room on a Friday night and the only one I could find was twice as expensive.

The customer service ruined the experience. Room was OK. Parking lot is very small and tight.
