To sum it up, it was AWFUL. Hotel Ruby is right next to the train tracks, so that not only did we have to contend with the thunderous noise, we had to deal with the shaking vibrations every time one went by, frequently, all night long. The room smelled bad, I would tell you if I could identify what the smell was but I couldn't. There was mold/mildew all along the window frame on the INSIDE of the room and the bathroom fan didn't work - there was no air flow at all - so I'm not surprised about the mold/mildew. Trying to turn on the air conditioner to get some air flowing, both hot and cold, made the already poor air quality in the room even worse. My traveling companion has respiratory issues and was so irritated by the poor air that she coughed and wheezed all night long. The lighting was horrible, and to make matters worse 3 of the lights in the main overhead light were out. There was long brown hair all over the bathroom, as well as soap scum and beard stubble all over the soap holder. I was told I would get a king size bed, we were given a double (I'd be hard-pressed to call it a queen). We could hear every drunken fool walking past all night long as if they were yelling into a megaphone. It was so bad we surrendered the second night of our stay at Hotel Ruby and moved to the DoubleTree in downtown Spokane. How are you able to rate Hotel Ruby with 3 stars? I've stayed at the Red Lion River Inn in Spokane, you've also rated that one 3 stars, and it is so much better than this dump, it can't hold a candle to the Red Lion. Please explain how you can rate them the same! You've lost my business, Priceline. I will never book through you again. ...

For the money this is a great place to stay. The room was very nice and I had a great sleep on the bed. I also liked the free breakfast. The waffle machine was great! A
problem with the cold water, which ran hot for 5 minutes before cooling. The internet was very weak. Could be because we were in the end room. Having said that, the router should still have given us decent internet. It didn't. Parking was difficult. $5.00 extra and very small stalls. If I visited Spokane in the future I would stay at the Ruby and would recommend it to my friends. When I told the person at the front desk about my cold water problem she gave me a 10% discount. Very nice! ...

The customer service ruined the experience. Room was OK. Parking lot is very small and tight.

I really liked this hotel. The location was excellent and the art in and around the complex created a unique environment. The beds and pillows were so comfortable.
