A major renovation of an old budget hotel had made this into a very interesting place to stay. The decor is classy every effort made to make an inviting atmosphere. Beds are comfortable, linens clean, soaps and lotions top quality. Pillows could be improved, lots of hotels have a "pillow menu", there's are all firm. One soft pillow per bed would be appreciated. 5 buck parking is reasonable but spaces are tight and tough to get in out when the lot is full. Staff friendly and helpful. My wife left a jacket and a phone call got it sent to us. The location is excellent, right in the center of action. ...

The hotel was clean, and comfortable; however, I do not feel that it is a 3 star hotel. I would rate it 2 or 2.5 stars.

Family Traveling with Young Children
THis hotel is not a family friendly hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that is trying to be boutique and is in the middle of down town and don't have kids, this may be the place for you. However if you have a family and need a good night sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE. Price line upgraded this hotel as a 3 star when it struggles to be a 2 star. This hotel couldn't even give us keys to our room. Every time we needed in our room we had to have the staff from the front desk open our room. There are only 15 spots for parking in a very tiny parking lot. If you not one of the first people there you have to park about a block away in another very shady hotel parking lot. If you have kids and you decide to stay here, I would recommmend that you bring your side arm. I laid awake most nights in fear that my room would be broke into, This was not a good night sleep. This place accepted a bid from price line that I was trying to get a 2 1/2 star rated hotel for, and I can see why. I think its the only way they can get guest. I am very upset with priceline since they wouldn't fix the issue. I don't mind if this hotel was truely a 3 star but this was clearly not. I probably will not use priceline again. I can not overstate this is not a family safe enviroment. ...

The looks of this hotel may be alluring but the street noise kept me from getting much sleep and the lack of wi-fi forced me to travel to the nearest coffee shop, being as i was there on business. Overall I was not impressed, I won't be staying there again, though I may revisit the Saphire Lounge.

The hotel is sort of a Motel 6 with a facelift. Cannot be rated as a 3 star hotel when it does not have an elevator and has relatively steep stairs. They try hard to please but I would not stay there again.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone for the following reasons: clean and comfortable, nice location close to restaurants and attractions, good bed, nice staff. One should check with hotel regarding parking charges prior to check-in.

Family Traveling with Teens
this is a very basic venue. parking is tight but adequate. The beds were too firm as were the pillows. The bar was busy with only one bar tender. Toilet seat needed replacing and the air conditioner was noisy. Best feature is location near the Davenport Hotel.

This was an overall fantastic visit. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the location was great. Walking distance to everything. Love the decor and Sapphire Bar!
