Hotel Guest Reviews of the Rouge, A Kimpton Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Large rooms were very comfortable for two people to stay several days.

We were at this hotel during Hurricane Sandy. The staff lived on site during the storm to ensure the guests would not have their meals or housekeeping disrupted. Their smiling faces helped make the storm an adventure instead of a tragedy.

Good location, big room, good price.
Feels like it is managed like a youth hostel. Bathroom sink had no water pressure.

Adequate and
good location.

Maid service was accommodating whenever I requested service.
Small bathroom, lumpy mattress, attendants gave poor directions & we got lost walking around downtown Wash, DC.

Not the best hotel, but also not the worst that I've stayed in. Probably won't stay here again due to far distance to Metro station. We had to walk too far.

Different experience than typical chain hotels and
close to everything in DC.

Hotel was clean, reasonably priced, and short walking distance to everything in DC, the room
I booked was the room
I was provided.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were on a weekend trip to D.C. to see the sights. They made helpful suggestions for good eats.
Our room did not have much of a view, but exterior windows would have been nice to see out.

We had very enjoyable time at the Rouge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was, comfortable, spacious (double queen), upscale and fashionable. Bathroom was a little small, but excellent water pressure in the shower (I hate poor water pressure and water saving shower heads. I like to enjoy a quick shower.) A decent continental breakfast was included with the Priceline deal. ...read more

Large room, good bed, good bathroom.

We arrived way before check-in time, but we could directly check-in because they upgraded us. An excellent start! The room was enormous. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was fine. In the lobby of the hotel there was free coffee and tea in the morning. The rest of the day there was chilled water with orange of other fruits. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Mini bar was richly filled. ...read more
