Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Rex

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I liked the atmospher, the helpful staff, the complimentary wine as well as the music downstairs.
I did not like that when you entered the elevator the light to your floor did not light up.

They accommodated us quickly and efficiently and when we checked out asked us how our stay was.
Nothing.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back.

This day was a fair hotone. No AC, I was told that there was a fan to use (very noisy) or that I could open the window. Well tried opening the window, first of all no screen and second it could not stay open easily. Ended up using the fan.

The location and decor was great and it was clean.
We were only there one night but at 1:30 we were awakened by a bang and glass shattering. About 10 minutes later we heard police in the hallway. We went back to sleep, but the next morning there was a shattered glass outside the door in the hallway.

The hotel itself was fine but when something so drastic happens, guests safety and comfort are compromised, the hotel should compensate for that. This hotel did not and I was very disappointed by that.

Great service, clean, loved the decor, retro, and affordable.
The toilet handles,
seemed like old school elementary toilets.

Classy, but great deal.
Too expensive.

Classy hotel with nice bar, comfortable plush rooms, and close proximity to shops, eats, and drinks.

I will never visits this hotel again
Terrible service, malfunctioning elevator smelled like marijuana, small rooms, badly needs renovating.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. On check-in it took 20 minutes for the much-too-cool-to-be-bothered hipster at the front counter to finish his conversation with his buddy behind the bar before he would check us in. After check-in we went to the elevator to go up to our floor.... we waited 10 minutes at the elevator before deciding to take the stairs to 6th floor. The room was tiny, right around 200 sq. ft. with shabby carpeting and furniture. On our way downstairs we found out what had taken the elevator so long, someone had pressed the HOLD button while they smoked a joint in the elevator. My girlfriend and I love coming to the city for the weekend, this was the worst hotel I've ever been in. ...read more
