Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Mercure Roma Corso Trieste

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Small hotel atmosphere, very helpful staff and a good location. There was a metro station fairly nearby for easy access to Roma Centro, while the immediate neighborhood was quiet, but had coffee shops, gelaterias, grocery stores, etc.
Given the price and location, I feel that the hotel provided everything I could have expected.

The hotel was well managed and the staff were friendly and helpful. It appeared to be an older building, but clean and well-kept. A kettle and small frig in the room enabled tea, coffee and snacks with food bought at a nearby Conad's. Unlike all the rest of Italy, apparently, free bottled water was provided. While I didn't use the breakfast facilities, it looked like a good meal was available. It was fun to check out local gelato, cappucini and croissants. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Roma Corso Trieste. ...read more

the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful and the rooms were large and spotless
location, beds not very comfortable, very limited room service and not 24 hour, limited tour options

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were large and very clean. The location was the biggest drawback, being very far from the city center and all the major sights and also a very far walk from shopping and dining. The beds weren't the most comfortable and the room service was very limited and not 24 hours. The tours offered through the hotel were only for one company and also very limited. Overall though it was a nice place to stay and the staff was great. ...read more

Free internet, tea-coffee kettle, reasonably decent and quiet neighborhood.
Dirty walls, poor decor, small and cramped room, non-available air conditioning for the night.

If an hotel is rated three stars and it charges US$ 90.00 + taxes per night through Priceline bidding system (desk prices are 200 euros for a couple) the least one would expect is to have a clean room, and to feel thermally comfortable inside the hotel. The walls of the rooms have a wall paper which hide the dirt and wear and tear but since there is no maintenance for many many years, as it looks, the walls really show dirt and tear. However, what was most annoying for the prices charged and for the expectations regarding a three star hotel was the fact that management only kept air conditioning available during the day from 10:00 till 20:00. Frankly speaking, I would expect something different based on the price paid and rating. ...read more

Far from the city.

The room is very clean and comfortable, Internet access is provided to you for free. bathroom is nice and clean although the shower is kind of tight. A sauna and a gym was also available. HD TV is also available although only 1 channel is provided in English which is CNN.
