Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Mediodia

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was so convenient.
In my opinion was updated but the beds not so comfortable.

I loved the location of this hotel. The staff was helpful. Not so happy about the beds but looking at it as something positive, it helped us to deal with the time zone which is 6 hours ahead from ours.I mean we didn't stay in bed the whole morning and approached the stay in Madrid to visit many places.

We found this hotel very convenient, close to train station, subway, buses. The museum Reina Sofia is just next door. Very safe place to walk at night, there are many restaurants nearby. Hop on/off bus is around the corner and also a couple of supermarkets, shown by the hotel staff if you want to buy good fruits, food and eat. The hotel staff is very helpful. The place is just opposite the main Atocha Raiway station, which meant very easy for day trips to Toledo, Segovia etc. ...read more

Location was great. Grand old hotel.
Breakfast was a little skimpy but price was low.

This is an old European hotel in a great location. Staff was quite accommodating. Americans (I'm an American) would need to accept the seasoned nature of the hotel with it's beautiful wood floors and antique furniture such as that in the first floor lounge and the old-style bathroom. Overall, we loved the hotel and the location. We even stayed one the first floor facing the street & and the noise level was not a problem. ...read more

Hotel was in a great location and gave us above what we expected for the price we paid.
The lift is really small and is currently being refurbished. View was blocked.

Hotel was clean and provided a great place to relax. Had a table & chairs, desk, and small LCD tv (all Spanish channels). Came with a fold out twin bed in addition to the two standard twins in the room. Bathroom was very clean and open. Windows opened easily for fresh air. Hotel was being refurbished (May 2010) and had a green net and scaffolding all along the outside. Didnt notice noise however, you couldnt see past it to get a view outside. Overall, really enjoyed the hotel and location. ...read more
