Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Bothwell, An Ascend Hotel Collection Member

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was exceptionally gracious in accommodating my requests. The room booked through Priceline was very small and I asked the front desk staff if I could pay for an upgrade. Without hesitation, I was upgraded to a much larger room for free.
No.

John H. Bothwell opened this seven story hotel on June 10, 1927. In 1989, the hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For over 80 years, Hotel Bothwell has been welcoming guests who are visiting Sedalia, Missouri. The classical revival architecture of this notable building features crown moldings, marble baseboards and gold cornices. The renovated suites are larger than they were originally, but the elegant and historical furnishings will take you back in time. Satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst at the Ivory Grille and the Ivory Grille Lounge, both located inside the hotel. You can choose from several distinctive rooms while staying at the hotel. The Tub suite features a two person whirlpool tub and a queen size sleigh style bed. The Owner suite has a king size bed and two full bathrooms. The Family suite is perfect when traveling with children, as this suite has two bedrooms. Look out the window of the Deluxe suite and you will enjoy the view of downtown Sedalia. This large room is two rooms combined. The Queen room symbolizes the original luxury suite of 1927. The Double room has two double beds and an original 1920's bathroom. The Original room, which is the original room size of 1927, is smaller than most hotel rooms; however you still get all the amenities. ...read more
