Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Belvedere

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

helpful staff/front desk

front desk staff were friendly and eager to help with setting up a early shuttle to the airport along with early breakfast coffee.

friendly, near airport & restaurants
windows were dirty

for a quick overnight near the airport, it was fine for us. There was a little paint peeling off the wall and the window was badly smudged. Otherwise, fine. Very friendly and helpful.

Front desk clerk went above and beyond to help me.

The front desk clerk is amazing. He went above and beyond to help me. The room was clean with a private bathroom. There is a public balcony on the 3rd floor with a nice view of the ocean which is right across the street. All of the people I met were very friendly. The pub next door had good food (only stayed one night for layover. Remember to reserve the airport shuttle because it does not come automatically and it costs 6 euro. I took a cab from the airport and paid 50 euro so calling ahead to make sure the shuttle can meet you at the airport is a good idea. ...read more

Great view of the sea, nice area for walking, shopping and
dining.
Room too small, shower tiny!

Nothing special with small shower, but the area makes it worth the stay.

complimentary continental breakfast; close to the airport
customer service was awful, transportation was impossible

After traveling all day via train from Florence to Rome, we arrived at the Termini Train Station in Rome to find out the hotel was an hour away from the station. This is despite communication from a hotel customer service agent the same morning, giving us instruction to travel in this method and take a cab (which would have been likely 100 Euros or better). We were told by the same customer service agent that we could take a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, so we took the train back to FCO airport only to find out from another hotel employee that the shuttle must be booked a day in advance. We were told to take a cab from the airport, but no cab drivers were willing to take us to the hotel. When I tried to explain this to the employee, they were unwilling to help in any way until a Priceline employee got involved and called them to resolve the situation. ...read more

The view was lovely from the balcony of the room.
The hotel was old with not many amenities.

If you are looking for location this is a good hotel. The hotel is older and the rooms small with not many furnishings or carpeting. The bed was comfortable. The linens were of poor quality.

Our room overlooked the beach, great location
shower stall is small.

Very modest hotel, but very pleased we chose to stay here as we were just opposite the beach and in the heart of town. Very nice people in the town of Ostia. Excellent value staying here the nite before flying out of Rome's airport Fiumicino. Only problem was the cost of the taxi. We took the train to Fiumicino thinking a taxi would be inexpensive to Ostia, but the driver charged us double rate since we took him outside the Rome taxi "region" even though Ostia is close to the airport. Best to take the metro from Rome to Ostia and catch a taxi to the hotel. ...read more
